Gaspard's invasion could also only be a mention or he could potentially fail

Loghain would probably defeat him (as he's highly skilled at killing chevaliers), but without Loghain and having been devastated by the Blight, the mage-templar war, the venatori and the breach, it would be a great struggle for Ferelden to defeat Orlais.
orlais also had to deal wih he breach and a CW. Plus, Bioware writing doesn't't always use logic. If they want ferelden to beat Gaspard, they will write It that way.Loghain would probably defeat him (as he's highly skilled at killing chevaliers), but without Loghain and having been devastated by the Blight, the mage-templar war, the venatori and the breach, it would be a great struggle for Ferelden to defeat Orlais.
I don't see Ferelden winning a war, but I don't see Orlais staging a successful occupation either.

Turns out there is no peace with Ferelden option in the keep. Guess his means Gaspard always invades Ferelden
In all the epilogues I have seen where Gaspard is the sole ruler of Orlais, he always settles disputes with Ferelden.
I imagine he invites Alistair and/or Anora on Wyvern hunts from time to time.
Actually, if you go for the Briala/Gaspard ending, Briala personally shows up in the battle with a battalion of elven archers and fights the Venatori/Red Templars with you for Orlais. They cover you while you move on the temple.
Thedas really is better off with Gaspard ruling Orlais.
Celene's incompetent and Briala is too SJW-esque for me to take seriously in a supposedly "Dark" fantasy setting.
How gaudy.
So rather than personal combat...archers.
*sneers*
Also o.o a battalion is quite a force, calling like four no name elves that seems overkill.
Gaudy? Gaudy.
Didn't Loghain place a significant amount of value on the Elven force he put together during his time fighting Orlais?

The bow is the wise man's weapon. Something I can actually agree with Sebastian on.

Your use of SJW is too bizarrely anachronistic for me to take seriously in a reference to any "fantasy" setting.

Yup - the Night Elves. A few elven archers played a significant role in the Ferelden civil war, even saving the Prince from an ambush. Also, Briala's archers are up close and personal - they don't stay at long range.
Regardless, the idea that Gaspard is the only one of the three to engage in combat is now pretty dead.

Didn't Gaspard also say he was crippled and couldn't fight anymore?

I'm so deeply wounded that you the great Xil cannot take my disapproval of your obsession seriously.
He doesn't likes when your dress doesn't match your eyes.

Well, she does more than Celene, at least.
Hardly.
He solos a behemoth.
If you actually sit back and watch, he will eventually win.
No mass of forces, no servants or retainers, him and his sword.
Briala from what I observe from the video sort of just stands there like a fool drooling.
Oh come on, what they happen to do according to the gameplay mechanics in your particular playthrough isn't relevant when according to the story/lore they are both on the front line fighting alongside the Inquisition.

So instead of standing in place like a igit at the camp, she does it in the forest surrounded by mooks.
How inspiring.
Does that behemoth still spawn otherwise?
That'd be my question to you.
You know I thought he would have a beard after I read TME.

Is that the same Behemoth that fights the Inquisition Mages? Probably not. Regardless whilst his valor is to be applauded I don't think it's wise of him to risk his life so casually. He is Emperor after all.
well that's his thing, he wants to lead from the front lines, not the rear
for a long time that was how generalship was done. Alexander the Great personally fought in his battles, suffering numerous injuries, many of his successors would die in battle themselves.
