I prefer peace between both sides. There are already enough Reaper-controlled tin cans to worry about.
Prefers peace between both sides - destroys the geth. Not so much 'peace between both sides' when you get rid of the other side, is it?

Eh, I never said anything about choosing Destroy...I'm a Synthesis fan here ![]()
Destroy wouldn't solve anything in the future, and Control is too risky of Reaperfied Shepard turning crazy and commiting more atrocities.
No, what ever happens at the end Shepard either commits genocide. Takes control of the very things that have been killing everyone and we have been told is terrible. Or forces the galaxy to have green glow eyes destroys all natural life in the galaxy. I don't think any race will be to happy with those outcomes.
You can destroy the geth on Rannoch. Pretty much every race is quite fine with that

I didn't mean you chose destroy. I meant that you implied you destroy the geth.
If the Geth were upgraded in your playthought, you did commited genocide.
You say it in such a way that suggests that saving the geth (the only way to have them upgraded) is genocide, therein a negative. As the only alternative to upgrading the geth is destroying them. Though either way the geth are destroyed if you view the upgrade as genocide.

My Shepard always goes with destroy but I agree with you.
My Shepard goes destroy.
Personally I'd go with control because I'm a egotistical jackass who would love to become an immortal virtual god.
Yet I think synthesis is the best outcome of the three and I never choose it because of how ridiculous I find the premise.
Gosh aren't I weird one. Lol.

They're too busy trying to survive the chaos brought down on them by one race of synthetics to worry about the lost of another that was working for the very ones wiping us out. Can't honestly say I blame them for not giving a damn, all things considered.

Do you think they'll mourn them after they are killed to stop the Reapers? I think not

Shepard might. The quarian's might, though for selfish reasons. The galaxy as a whole? Not at all. I doubt they'd even get mentioned or remembered in a memorial. Though we do have geth fighting in multiplayer so maybe SOME people will mourn them. Still, not the galaxy as a whole. I don't blame them, either. Hell I don't even mourn the batarians and they were organic.
That would be cheesy as hell, but I'm kinda for it. Though it must be closer to a crazy sect than to some recognized religion.
You know, like a side mission where you need to fight some racist bastard from agressive wing of the sect, where he would shout something like "You fight or die, that's the Path" and "This will be a glorious death, but I'm taking you with me as a tribute".
To be fair at least Shepard's miracles are documented and proven. If so many religions can be made based on little more than ancient contradictory stories I don't see why there couldn't be a religion on someone like Shepard when there is actual proof for all the things accomplished. Came back from the dead, destroyed the collectors, ended several wars, united several species, defeated an ancient race of sentient starships intent on our destruction... Hell imagine if they made control ending canon... Shepard would literally be a digital God watching over all of us and protecting us.
I hope they don't do anything of this because, personally, I'm against religion. Though it wouldn't be any crazier than some of the stuff people believe. There's a religion for a giant flying spaghetti monster, you know.
What do you mean with after Shepards death? S/he isn't already worshipped as a god during the games? Then why does almost every ingame character turn into a spineless yes-man as soon as the mighty Shepard opens her/his mouth, even when s/he makes choices that are clearly not in her/his authority?
Suddenly the games make a lot less sense.

I would even consider choosing destroy with non-upgraded Geth (if that were possible) an act of genocide - they were sentient before and sapient as a sort of hive-mind. Honestly, they were far more interesting prior to the ME3 upgrades.Eh, I never said anything about choosing Destroy...I'm a Synthesis fan here
