I would like to ask bioware that whatever they'll add to this new release whether it's superior graphics, new dlcs or whatever allow those which own the entire series already in Origin to purchase or get for free the "Upgrade" to this new re-release.

(Already owns all the games + dlcs just want to make sure I won't need to re-purchase everything... though HD mass effect 1 sounds epic).

A re-master takes effort and resources. There is no inventive for EA to release it and not try and recoup some of that investment, unless they restrict it to the new consoles and charge full price there. Asking for a game series that required months of new programming and potentially new artwork to be completely free just because you bought the other games years ago is just not going to happen, it makes zero business sense.

Now, a reduced price for existing owners? Sure, easy enough to do on the PC with Origin/Steam now as they can see what you titles you have so something like at least 50% or more should be expected. That would be reasonable; again what fits the defiinition of that word will depend highly on the individual and what exactly this re-master brings to the table.

As for what should be included:

1. Obviously better textures (especially for the characters that seemingly already exist in the game) so we don't have to sit at a screen for 10 minutes using TexMOd.

2. Seamless continuation in character across all 3 games.

3. Perhaps some animation tweaks? (Make Femsheps running a little less ridiculous in ME3 would be nice :)).

4. All DLC included and installed with the main game of course, goes without saying.

5. Unecessary elevator wait in ME1 and ME2 animation loading delays on teh PC excised - the game can load the levels in a couple of seconds, don't force us to sit through the animation as if we're streaming from DVD.

6. And...GAMEPAD SUPPORT on the PC. REPEAT: GAMEPAD SUPPORT ON THE PC.

I would think #6 would be obvious with DA:I now including it, but just to be as clear as possible. :) Heck most the code and the controller UI already exists in the PC versions!

All DLC included, and on the disc(s), is all I ask for in a rerelease. The Trilogy edition previously released was a terrible misfire by leaving out so much. I would be willing to pay a premium over the traditional retail price for a game if it is a truly comprehensive package.

Not asking it for free just for an option to "upgrade" the existing copies I got to the re-released upgraded version.

1) ME1-3: Alien Languages

Details: written and spoken alien languages (there are 100s of college linguistics majors that will do this for you for free.)

Why: MASSIVE IMMERSION, and so dedicated fans can share a level of geekiness that no one else can :D :D :D

2) native 3D TV support!!!!! and/or oculus rift support.

3) ME2-3: random party member conversations

Details: in ME1, you can just select a team member and they'd comment about their surroundings. it was a little thing, but it really added to the overall immersion and connection to that character

4) ME2-3: I really liked not having to think about finding or running out of ammo in ME1... it helped keep the focus on the story and what you were doing. it would be cool to do the same in ME2-3... no more thermal clips.

5) kinect voice commands for ME1-2... it was pretty awesome just saying the voice dialog choices in ME3

6) more alien starships to explore in side-missions (asari, salarian, turian, hanar, lol). ones that are really well functionally thought out and creative in style, but realistic and not too out there. (i want design ideas for my office, hehe)

7) develop out the "alternate plotline" that was originally side-lined for the ME3 ending. in and of itself, that would give a ton of people a huge reason to replay it. plus it might make sense for the ending. it can even be "comic book style" endings. a story is about the concept touching down, incrediblely rendered cut-scenes are cool, but for the novelty of a new storyline... that would be cool.

(no doubt that would be classified as a remake for ME2-3, buuut, it would probably... triple sales?)

Funny i was thinking about it fews months ago..

1 - As we all know, bioware work on mass effect 4 with the frostbit engine. Most of the work already done, Models, texture, game logics and Dialogues Systems can use for the The re-release, with of course some modifications and imported others specific game assets (Dialogues, models, levels).

2 - Then, of course, we will have a unified gameplay. The hard would be to modified the gameplay and levels of the first mass effect.

3 - And would be a good test run / introduction for the next mass effect.

4 - Use of the Frostbit will ease port to PS4, Xbox One and PC, a "small" dedicated team can work on the re-release beside the mass effect 4 team. Collaboration between them would ease bug tracking, news ideas, better perspective for the news titles)

5 - Put the 3 mass effect with the DLC...almost 200 hours of games with enhanced graphics on my PC/ONE/PS4 ? You can even kickstarter this !

Shut up and take my money.

Of course the remastered trilogy would have to get a face lift, along with bug fixes for issues that were left unresolved. Funny how this is the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking of the remastered trilogy...if the remastered version of ME3 also comes with functioning multiplayer like the original, the devs have got to fix the N7 Destroyer's Hawk Missile Launcher. Aside from the Hydra modifier, it is all crap due to the terrible tracking and trajectory of the normal missiles. I would love to use the Cobra modifier, but the lack of accuracy for non-Hydra missiles make it a non-option.

I am so excited about this, I really hope they do it. All 3 games + DLC with HD textures would be amazing!

The only thing I ask them to add is the gay option for Kaidan in ME1, the dialogue is already there etc and myself and many others just use a gender edit to access it. This would tie in nicely with ME3 anyways.

Please do this Bioware/EA! I would definitely pay for this :)

My requests are more for ME1 remaster.

1) Use the PC version of ME1, and not the console version. The PC version not only had better visuals, but also better inventory management.

2) Allow Default FemShep from ME3 to be used in ME1 and ME2. Mainly because I imagine many liked that version of Commander Shepard, but don't want to play 2 entire games with a different face, only to change it to her face for the third one.

3) Give Hammerhead in ME2 better shields to take on hits better.

4) Create faster loading times in Elevators in ME1, but slow enough for banter. However, make space taxis even faster, so those would be more used for skipping banter or getting to locations faster.

5) Keep hacking mini games from ME2. In the PS3 version, many very needlessly removed.

And also, if you're improving graphics Halo 2 style, make the style more in line with ME1 and ME2's photo realism look, and not ME3's cartoonish look.

I'd like better shaders, textures, and graphics overall for all three games. A fluid experience, that is the games are connected enough that 'importing' is not actually a thing, rather the three games are melded into one, memory wise.

The armour system in ME1 is replaced with the modular system in ME2/ME3. I'm okay with combat the way it is, but the inventory/armour system just sucks in ME1. This could be extended into Tali having her ME2 appearance and Kaidan looking armoury.... I want all the appearances of companions to look a bit more.... like them.

A revamped CC, including all hairstyles from all games. And a unified 'body' and gait (for FemShep, specifically) for everyone, companion to PC alike, over every game. And the default femShep should also make it to every game. Instead of three games with three CC's, make it one game with one CC, and maybe a way to reenter it on the Normandy(s).

All DLC ever, including all those pieces left out of the Trilogy pack and Collector's edition (the N7 sweater), on disc. Period.

And my last ask is possibly the one that would collect the most flak. We know Kaidan is bisexual, so make his ME1 appearance reflect that. Make ME1 have an m/m romance in Kaidan. I know it would be more work, and would require some new voicework, but the fact there is only m/m in ME3 is really upsetting considering there is a bi male in ME1. (Extending the fleshing out to Jack for a f/f romance in ME2, that could extend into ME3 would also be good, especially because females could finally have a proper romance that extends into ME3).

Overall, make the trilogy into one game. A game in three acts that extends everything beautiful about the work done in each game to all of them. From the little, like the modular armouring system, to the large, the inclusion of same-sex romances that let us fulfill our fantasy Shepards properly. Don't just make it pretty and slap remaster on it. Make it into a unified experience. Make it THE saga, THE RPG to experience on next-gen consoles (and PC).

I don't know if I'm too late but I'll do it anyways!

First off I'm an avid Mass Effect fan I've played all the games many many times. I have lots of goodies from posters to actual statues and I normally hate them HD super definitve edition but Mass Effect is my franchise so I'll dive in the day it's out!

Few tweeks and changes I'd like :

Mass Effect 1 : DO NOT TOUCH THE GAMEPLAY PLEASE! Just deal with it lol. When you are accustumed to it it has it's charm!

Sure, better visuals and 60fps for ME1 !

Mass Effect 2/3 : Better graphics better frame rates and I'll be happy with that. I don't really want anything to be changed but I've heard that ME1 through ME3 would be like seemingless adventure. Everything done into 'one big game' I'd love that very much!

Of course, all dlc to go with it. It'd be a crime to make us pay for them again ;)

And since it's a new trend nowadays (like Halo Master Chief Collection) it'd be so good to have NEW cutscenes within the first trilogy that we haven't seen before! They could be somewhat of a prequel/origin for what's to come in ME4. Just with that it would legitimate the re-release!

Oh, another thing that would be mandatory with the remaster; adjustments must be made to do away with BioWare's previous tiptoeing around the issue of Quarian appearance. No more half-assed cutscenes involving Tali, thank you very much.

Not including the DLC would be a mistake.

For myself, it's all or nothing. Not including the DLC would be a total dealbreaker, and I refuse to ever play the trilogy without any of the extra story content that I've obtained.

Include deleted Ashley scene please.

I lmao everytime i read  the part when Shep says "I could dance for you"

Both Virmire survivors deserve a little more content.

A little more personal content in the end.

Instead of showing some random soldiers on earth when the Reapers are defeated show Wrex, Samara (other characters that crossed shep path)... their reaction.

Replace the slide pics with scenes.

And what's wrong to show Shepard alive for the players that picked destroy with enough RR.

I don't ask for marriage or anything like that.

But it's the Sheps last game, he's a bloody icon!

I don't ask to change the ending just "tweak" it a little.

Cause if i would ask to change... i wouldn't know were to began.

Like shooting a tube or holding electric bars and jumping in to a beam in order to operate the crucible... well if that isn't video gamey i don't know what is.

I was going to say same combat system for ME1, but the more i think of the less it seems possible.

Better journal for ME3, that is a thing that could and should be done.

Oh and that Omega dlc, it needs some patching.

Anyway, if Bioware make a next gen ME trilogy i would buy it.

Would it be possible to pin this topic?

My suggestions -

Romances

As one of the few and proud Kelly Chambers romances, I had these three suggestions:

 - Citadel party sequence: Because Kelly was keeping undercover, she could sneak in at the end of the party after everyone had passed out/gone off on their own. So instead of Shepard going to sleep alone (as mine did), that's the scene where she comes in, they have a playful banter, and then a final moment when she leaves the next morning. Maybe she just whispers to him as he sleeps, b/c she has to leave before anyone else is up. This way, Shep/Kelly romancers can have their moment without having to do a ridiculous amount of work on Citadel.

- Citadel:  I know that I and the rest of the Kelly/Shep team would also love a Citadel date sequence.

- Final battle: As for a final hologram chat on earth, that's trickier b/c it ties directly into the mystery of what happened to everyone on the Citadel. Possible solution is an added Kelly dialogue where Shep convinces her to go to the Crucible or something, allowing her to talk with him pre-final battle.

Kasumi

- Amend the start of the Kasumi mission so that her initial news pillar isn't right in the landing bay. Just make it one of the established ones further in the level. Have the players have to hunt around just a little for it.

Arrival

- Tweak "Arrival" so that it only happens post-Suicide Mission. Everything about it is too important and jarring to happen in the scope of ME2's primary story.

Lair of the Shadow Broker

- Tweak "Lair of the Shadow Broker" so that it doesn't prompt until either a. you've helped Liara find her mole or b. post-suicide mission. B/c as is it is right now, it's a bit janky and confusing for new players. What's the point of a mole hunt when the Shadow Broker is right there? That was feedback I got from a couple of people through the years.

Normandy Crash Site

- Have the Normandy Crash Site be accessible in ME3, perhaps with a scene there. Maybe refugees hiding from the Reapers there, and Shepard can comment on the ship still protecting (or not).

Pinnacle Station

- Have Pinnacle Station be available on all formats (my understanding being that it wasn't available in the trilogy rerelease).

- Have Shepard's house from Pinnacle Station be available in 2 and 3, perhaps even with its own little story that tracks across all three games.

Nightclubs

- The return of two nightclubs: have a scene in ME3 at the Flux for continuity/full circle-sake and make the Afterlife visitable post-Omega (and Aria be there). This is an opportunity to build out the Omega DLC that, by my observation, brings it closer in line with what fans were hoping it would be (not just a one and done visit).

Dialogue

- My most pie-in-the-sky wish: a chance to control more of the conversation in Mass Effect 3. If Bioware were willing to consider this, I'm sure fans would be happy to highlight certain ones of which BW could consider a plurality.

A makeover for current-gen consoles is not just a chance to spruce up the graphics, it is an opportunity to forge the definitive editions of each game individually and the trilogy as a whole. That means more than just prettifying the graphics. It means taking a look at all the pieces you have, assembling them optimally, and then taking the opportunity to flesh it out just a little more, fill in some gaps, correct some mistakes, and then put it out there for old and new fans to enjoy.

1. HD Mass Effect 1/2. And I don't mean only HD textures. Lighting, shading, animations need improvement too. All in all, around the same level like in ME3,and possibly even better.

2. All DLC included. No excuses, all DLC (including armors, weapons and alternate appereances) should be included regardless of the platform. Its a must if they plan to re-release the trilogy.

3. Integrate the DLC into the story,at a point in which they fit in best. I don't want Lair of the Shadow Broker or Arrival open up 5 hours into ME2,or Leviathan open up as soon as I finish Palaven. Make the dlc a part of story progression,so for example I can't start Thessia if I haven't completed Leviathan, and make additional cutscenes to reflect that.

4. Include ME3's combat system in ME1/ME2 if possible, and even make a few tweaks the dev team might consider necessary.

5. Seamless transition between all three games.

6. Oculus Rift support. I don't care if ME games are in third-person,Oculus Rift support for all three ME games would be amazing. Especially during space battles and big cutscenes (imagine seeing Kalros take down that Destroyer on Tuchanka with Oculus Rift,or the opening cinematic for the Suicide Mission.)

7. Kinect support for all three games. It was awesome in ME3 (yes, even the dialogue).

8. Remake Priority:Earth.  Yeah, mentioning the ending is inevitable when talking about a remastered ME trilogy for PS4/Xbox One/PC.

Keep the Catalyst if you wish, but for the love of God,overhaul Priority:Earth. Scrap the entire mission, starting with the opening cinematic, and simply remake everything from scratch.
- A proper story (and less cliche writing).

- Big consequences depending on your EMS and choices throughout the trilogy (obviously not all choices you made, but some big ones like the Rachni,Quarians/Geth,the Krogan race, etc. are a must)

- Epic and well-written moments (see the Tuchanka story arc).

- A lot more missions (again, like the Tuchanka or Rannoch arc) before the actual assault on London.

- More cutscenes with variations depending on our EMS/choices.

- A much longer and higher quality "Fleets arrive" cinematic, again, with variations depending on our EMS/choices and actual ships from different races in the galaxy, not just copy-pasted Alliance cruisers.

- A brand new soundtrack composed just for Priority:Earth. The exact same soundtrack repeating over, and over again during this mission in ME3 was really annoying.

- A final showdown with Harbringer (just a personal wish, but I bet a lot of fans would love to see it).

- Overall, the kind of mission ME3 was setting up to,and the kind of mission we were all expecting.

Its a big request, and would probably take a lot of money/resources and time, but the pay-off would be huge.

those are some great ideas in regards to what should be done on the re release of the Trilogy but in all honesty I don't see even half of that being done because that is a lot of man hours and money that will need to be put out to be able to make that happen also voice actors will have to be brought in for it as well. but I know for a fact if bioware decided to do this people would have no problem paying more
