1) ME1-3: Alien Languages

Details: written and spoken alien languages (there are 100s of college linguistics majors that will do this for you for free.)

Why: MASSIVE IMMERSION, and so dedicated fans can share a level of geekiness that no one else can  :D  :D  :D

2) native 3D TV support!!!!! and/or oculus rift support.

3) ME2-3: random party member conversations

Details: in ME1, you can just select a team member and they'd comment about their surroundings. it was a little thing, but it really added to the overall immersion and connection to that character

4) ME2-3: I really liked not having to think about finding or running out of ammo in ME1... it helped keep the focus on the story and what you were doing. it would be cool to do the same in ME2-3... no more thermal clips.

5) kinect voice commands for ME1-2... it was pretty awesome just saying the voice dialog choices in ME3

6) more alien starships to explore in side-missions (asari, salarian, turian, hanar, lol). ones that are really well functionally thought out and creative in style, but realistic and not too out there. (i want design ideas for my office, hehe)

7) develop out the "alternate plotline" that was originally side-lined for the ME3 ending. in and of itself, that would give a ton of people a huge reason to replay it. plus it might make sense for the ending. it can even be "comic book style" endings. a story is about the concept touching down, incrediblely rendered cut-scenes are cool, but for the novelty of a new storyline... that would be cool.

(no doubt that would be classified as a remake for ME2-3, buuut, it would probably... triple sales?)

#3! The conversations in the elevators were GREAT!

I will pre-order this right now, with no changes, although some would obviously be nice.  Can we fix the cover mechanic so it isn't clunky?  That's the only gameplay issue I ever had.

Id buy it and will go through whole series again (for like.. 5th time now?) if they deliver. Priorities for me:

1. Better visuals. I want much better textures for every game in series, more modern visual effects, tweaked locations to add vegetation and other stuff. Would be awesome if they also added native 3D Vision support as well since game looks so much more immersive in 3D.

2. Every ME DLC in existance should be included or there is no point to even make such remake.

3. Tougher difficulty setting. I went through series too many times, hardest difficulty is easy for me. I want "one mistake = dead" difficulty.

4. Documentary build in videos like Alan Wake did it. Id love to hear devs telling how crucial scenes were made, behind the scenes stuff and so on. And watch those videos by playing the game.

5. All games in series having one common combat system/mechanics. ME1 shooting part is too outdated, especially after playing ME2 and 3.

6. Completely redone ending for ME3. The one we, fans, deserve.

I would accept a ME2 and ME3 definitive edition with all STORY dlc included. They can charge me for the skins and weapons no sweat, but give us the full story please.

Agreed. I actually chatted with a couple of BW people and said this: *if* you do this, just don't go with a texture/performance upgrade and the content thrown in. Take the opportunity to stitch it together so it plays out perfectly. Make these the definitive editions of the games. Amazingly, there's a whole wave of players who have *not* played the games and are curious about them. This would be the chance to cultivate a larger audience for both the franchise and the next-gen games.

It's ultimately a question of how much money EA wants to bother investing. If they see it as a simple cash-in, then we won't get anything more than a basic upgrade. I am keeping my fingers crossed for more.

Bought

I will also purchase any upgraded edition of the trilogy. PS4, XB1, PC. So I will purchase three of them day 1. Let's go.
Any new information on this anywhere?

Since so many people have mentioned the important stuff already (All DLC included, better textures etc) I would really like it if they cleaned up some obviously rushed cinematics. Tali's invisible rock, Aria spinning during her speech, Femshep's bed eating a datapad during the Garrus romance are some examples that come to mind. If they plan on doing a remaster I'd also want them to add new content too,  I'd like to see new cutscenes and some updated ones.

I am so excited about this, I really hope they do it. All 3 games + DLC with HD textures would be amazing!

The only thing I ask them to add is the gay option for Kaidan in ME1, the dialogue is already there etc and myself and many others just use a gender edit to access it. This would tie in nicely with ME3 anyways.

Please do this Bioware/EA! I would definitely pay for this :)

I do hope so since most of the lines have already been recorded anyway, so it's not much work.

Also, I can't stand ME1 combat system, so I'm very disappointed that they're not willing to rework the system.

I think bottom line is mass effect series as an whole experience is one if not the best rpg experience in video games history. if they'll manage to create a coherent and technology upgraded experience of the entire series with all content in one package it will be a must have.

They say he's also looking for ideas...

Re-do the inventory system for ME1 to be similar to ME2 or 3. Hell redo the entire armor and weapon system to be like ME3.

Re-tool Biotics and Combat powers to work like M3. Remake ME1 to be like ME3 lol.

I agree that ME1 vendors \ merchants \ item system was bad every game I got to 999999999999999999999999999 credits lol and random drops gave me X version of uber gear.

so ME2\3 item system will be the bling.

Another element I think they should change is the digital comic you could be use if you wanted to make choices from past games. I think they should allow it to be used outside of the game to make a save file. I thought it was a mistake to add it to the actual game, because it extended the intros of ME2 and ME3 to be way too long before you get into the meat of the game.

Helmet Toggle in ME2 would be awesome. No more "kiss the helmet" or "Drink through metal".

How can you have a "seamless" experience if you dont touch/upgrade the combat?

If they put as much effort into as Capcom put into remastering Resident Evil, im in.

Look at those Graphics.

Again if they do decide to make a remastered HD version please go all out.

Redo the Combat, UI, Graphics.

Also, if possible, try to do something with those news articles that used to run for ME2's menu screen. They were cool lore things you could read. Maybe just play them on loop?

I would love to finally learn Kaidan's date of birth, even if it's just a codex entry or something. I want to make dogtags for him. We know Ashley's, so it's only fair.

Also, an option to turn off DLC you don't want to do would be good. I skip Shadow Broker for a reason, I'd like for it to never come up.

Mass Effect wiki timeline says that he was born in 2151

But I need the month and day as well. We know Ashley was born April 14th, 2158, but the only thing we know is the year Kaidan was born, which isn't enough to make dogtags.

As long as they add the "Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending Mod".

I am on board with this.
