Origins only spanned over just a year, even with all that walking around Fereldan, and DAII spanned for 7 years (though it honestly didn't feel like it), how long will Inquisition roughly span over?
How long does this game span for?

Do you mean how much game time or how many story years?

Well, considering no Dragon Age game he's been out seven years, and none have more than fifty hours of content. I'd think it was rather obvious.
It's less than DA2, OP.

From what I remember, DA: Origins took place over 2 years (when you recruit Wynn, even if you go to the Tower first, she says if you're a mage that you've been gone about a year when you speak to her), and DA:II took place over 10 years. Each act took place over the span of a year, but in-between acts were 3 years,
I would say that Inquisitions will be along the same time span as Origins, two or three years. The Fade Rifts are horrible things that need to be taken care of ASAP. You can't take 10 years to fix the issue.

Darling, The Fifth Blight lasted for almost a year. The same year it took for Hawke and Family to settle in Kirkwall, as narrated by Varric..
who knows whether Varric lied about Hawke...

Don't be patronizing. I said that based on things that I had read from Devs. If you disagree, fine, but there's no need for you to be rude about it.

Inside of a year; the breach is something that will have to be fixed quickly.

That particular line with Wynne was always weird. She'll say that even right after recruiting her (if you raise her approval with the Feastday DLC gifts). So maybe it isn't the most reliable...

We will likely know for sure at the end of Inquisition.

Hawkes time in DA2 was 7 years, the time since the last cut sceen in DA2, with Leliana and Cassandra is around 1 1/2 years and that happened 1 1/2 years after the fight with meredith. Its about 10 years between the start of DA2 which is the fall of lothering to the rift. But events in the game portion of DA2 aka not the narration stuff with Varric and Cassandra is only 7 years.

To be fair, Alistair and the Warden got REALLY lucky during the 5th Blight. They were able to gather a large enough force to break the siege to get to the Archdemon, which liked sticking around for some reason.

I suspect no longer then few months. With the demons wreaking havoc in Thedas the civilization would probably crumple after a year or so. And then we would all be of Qun ![]()

That might explain it. I always thought the game had been set over the time span of 2 years because of that comment, and when DA:II first came out, everyone said it was over 10 years. It might be changed though. I mean, look what they did with Alistair's mother.

They said atleast around 50+ hours for Main Story and 200+ for side-quests.
