I have been thinking over last couple of weeks on what sort of Video Game they could do next, now there is one video game i've wanted to see made my entire life modern earth with people who have superpowers.

I have to make something very clear they may have super powers but that won't mean they have to go off and fight evil. My idea for this game is to see what would really happen if people had these gifts this wouldn't be about saving the world it would probally be about hiding yourself from the world and trying to survive. I would like a dark gritty kind of feel.

The people with these abilities would be seen as dangerous their own familes are afraid of them people will hunt them down torture them test their limits and experiment on them. While others just hate them and want to see them suffer while the people who are free are fighting back.

It would be a great rpg and would be a really realistic turn on the superhero cliche.

engine frostbite

Features

Open world multi reigion

Location earth

Character Creator

Differant origins

Many differant types of powers

A epic storyline with a complex characters.

What do you think?

Sounds like an X-Men game, but it could be pretty cool. I have one of my own.

Something that is open world and the PC is a type of dragon. You can choose from multiple colors which will determine your breath weapon as well as various types of wings, horns, fins, etc. You can focus on strength, speed, magic, or some combination of the three.

You can fly or run around the land wreaking havoc, hoarding treasure, fighting adventurers, or gaining followers.  At a higher level, if you leveled your magic, you can transform into a human to walk around and interact with human NPCs.  It would be a more realistic art style with destructable environments. There would be online PvP where one dragon could invade the territory of another and try to defeat them and/or steal their treasure. Something Dark Souls style.

It sounds a little like Two Souls, but with an entire mutant population like in X-Men.

You had me until you got to the requirements. "Open world" and "frostbite" are great ways to make sure this never gets made. That's a pretty hefty dollar figure to start with.

Maybe "insanely modded version of Skyrim?" Or "RPG Maker project" to make it slightly more realistic?

Good. Feel free to leave suggestions to be thrown into the developer cages. Just no LI requests though.

I personally would love to see a video game featuring a modern Germany in some way.

Anything specific or Germany for the sake of Germany?

I would love to see a WW2 espionage game in the vein of Deus Ex:HR. You play as a double agent and create a character; choose a nationality, and get to make choices that could have a serious impact on how events play out in the war and such. Meet famous people like Hitler and Stalin and actually converse with them, choose your style of play: action/stealth or a little of both, see famous places like Berlin and Munich. Open-world FPS with a level-up system. Vehicles for travel and if you choose, for fighting.

The other one is a bit more straightforward and probably far more likely to happen in today's world of video games. A Battlefield-style game that features a modern German military with a more European focus. USA should sit on the bench for once or at the very least, not play the central role against the big bad bully Russia. Storyline could really be anything though in a game like this.

Could you even do that with the creation kit? If you can I might attempt this but it would be better if bioware did this with what I have seen of DA:I I believe they could pull this off but it is only a suggestion and their is a high chance of them not even seeing this.

I mean... we're talking about a SERIOUS mod. All new maps, items, sets, skills, effects, scripts, animations... it would require all new assets to be created. But still, it would provide all the underlying base programming. It would still likely be a multiple-person project, taking hundreds and hundreds of hours and a pretty experienced team.

It would be easier than making your own game, especially if you don't have any programming experience. But it would still be a monumental project.

There are tremendous tools out there for people wanting to make their own game. Terrain generators, Human creation tools, AI scripting...and you can even go around buying assets if you're particularly uninspired. Basically all the tools are there to make a game if one has the desire and the time.

Easy

I'm just doing this until everyone accepts that DP is the god of bad games because it's so totally awesome in everything other than its gameplay.

Do you know what sort of system I would need for this when it comes to specs while testing the game and making new models. I'm going to start writing some ideas down for the games story and see if I can get people to join on.

As far as making your own, Unity is a great open-source engine that has some pretty powerful functionality. Additionally, Blender is an open-source 3D editor that can be used to create assets.

As far as terrain and character generation go, there are a number of different tools. I haven't found the "right" one yet for either, but there are a few like World Machine (a procedural terrain generator), MakeHuman (a character generator), and I just ran across something on Steam called Fuse, a character creator, that I might try out.

Be warned, though--if it's free, there tends to be a kind of steep learning curve to it. But there are definitely tools out there that can be used.

Still accepting donations for my own game project, will come up with some details about what you're funding later.

Get a kickstarter put up. Get a friend to make some grand, sweeping concept art. Make some ambiguous descriptions and promises. Step 4: Profitsssssssssss
