So, Aaryn Flynn is asking what we'd like to see in a re-mastered trilogy (http://www.neogaf.co...&postcount=3216).  Seeing as how I only have free email accounts, I can't register on NeoGAF.  However, it would be nice to give our thoughts here in the forums.

What would you like to see?

I'd like to see smarter AI in ME 1, an ending sequence that shows your war assets in use (or at least the big ticket items, so to speak), I'd also like to see my ME3MP status carry over.

Personally I would like to see something new, perhaps include some DLC and assets that never saw retail release or create an all new stand alone adventure to be packaged with the re-make, I have already played the Mass Effect trillogy and I doubt just uping the framerate and resolution is going to convince me that re-purchasing it is going to be worthwhile.

The first two are unrealistic as this is a remaster we're talking about. The third is interesting.

If anyone wants to put their input here I can post it to NeoGAF. Generally Aaryn is looking for ways to improve the content that exists, not changing current content (such as giving ME1 ME3's combat for example) or creating new content (like a reworked endings). So basically objective improvements (like adding controller support for PC) and not subjective ones.

I'm just hoping it actually gets announced soon.

For what I'd like to see, it would be all DLC and visual upgrades as well as fixing any bugs that remain.

I'm hoping they'd be open to improving missions and adding stuff though, I'd like to see the final mission improved, whether by changing battles based on battle readiness etc or via other ways, hopefully so I don't dread that mission.

Otherwise not much, maybe some closure for stuff like the girl waiting for her parents in the refugee area?

Edit: have the combat readiness stop going down, might not matter but if I get it full I don't want to be forced to play to keep it high.

i want better controls for mass effect 1 and 2, like combat rolls and going from cover to cover.

in mass effect 1, i would like better controls for the mako. like using the bumpers for going forward and backwards. and maybe a speed boost, and stackable items that is better organized in the inventory. i altso want hi-rez textures like this.

i would also like new hair that actually looks like hair.

i would also like more uncharted worlds to explore in mass effect 2 and 3. bring back the mako or hammerhead :D

As for #1 & #2, I'll let them worry about what's feasible.  I'll just say what I'd like to see and let them sift through the detritus. LOL.

To Slogbarg's point: I would like them to add things that maybe they were unable to because of hardware limitations, for instance.  Maybe they can steal a page or two from the Master Chief Collection and develop a missions playlist or something like that.

I think they should modify the EMS system in ME3.  Let our EMS be 1:1 with our assets and let MP be the multiplier that we can have if we don't want to do all of the fetch quests. In other words, MP only lets you go UP.  You're not penalized for not playing MP.

High quality textures and graphics. Especially ME1.

Movement, Combat, Abilities, Skill Trees from ME3 into ME1 and 2.

Morality system to be the same in all 3 games.

Weapon, Armour and Inventory systems from ME3 in both ME1 and ME2. Especially ME1.

All DLC included.

Do something with the planetary exploration/Mako/Planet scanning etc (especially ME1). I dont know what, but all 3 games had poor and boring implementations of it.

Option for Helmets off in conversations for all 3 games.

Mouse double clicking and mouse wheel scrolling support for ME2 ( These ommissions really annoy me! Its basic PC support!)

Improve sidequests in ME3....eavesdropping shepard is just really weird.

Improve ME3 ending. It is still very daft (lets hover the Normandy infront of Reapers and chat while we are supposed to be rushing to a beam......)....lots of other problems with it too....like no Harbringer, no real boss fight....and a lot of just not making sense. Its a mess.

Of course what i would like would require redesigning levels etc in ME1 and improving the ending of ME3......cant really call that a remaster.

What I'd like to see, in two categories....

What I EXPECT:

Improved graphics, resolution and a rock steady framerate.

All bugs and glitches remedied (like the EC bug caused by Leviathan DLC).

All DLC content included.

All past preorder content included (i.e. ME2's singularity gun, ME3's squadmate attire).

$60 price tag.

What I wouldn't mind seeing, but isn't necessary at all:

The ability to map Shepards and squadmates abilities in ME1 (as was seen in ME2/ME3).

More character creator/customization options. (Hair....like actual, long hair for male and female. More facial features)

The inclusion of unused dialogue with in-game cinematics (especially the Priority Earth dialogue from ME2 squadmates).

Visualization of specific individual War Assets in action.

Restoring Priority Earth to what it was supposed to be (assigning squadmates and war assets to perform certain tasks, building upon the foundation of the Suicide Mission, and realizing the full potential of the concept)

Tali's face rendered with in-game graphics (perhaps during the memorial wall scene in a ShepLives ending scenario)

My Shepard standing up out of the rubble and gazing out across the aftermath.

Requirements:

1080p/60fps

All DLC included

An option to use one controller layout across the entire series (So you won't have to relearn new buttons after you complete each game)

Icing on the cake:

ME3's character creator at the beginning of ME1 to maintain aesthetic consistency

Improved graphics (it's already out there, just contract the modders who did the job for you)

Fix bugs / glitches / texture pop-ins

Playable content or cutscenes to bridge the three games together better

Unlock previously locked content - Certain armors were unavailable in ME1, off-duty clothing in all 3 games, etc

New content for all 3 games to include weapons, armor, missions, etc.

All DLC

Mass Effect 3 Default Femshep in Mass Effect 1 and 2

New scenes or contents, something to attract also those who, like me, completely finished the trilogy several and several times

The very least would be 1080p60fps and all DLCs. Of course, the improves graphics go without saying.

Besides that, if I could choose something it would be a rework of ME1 combat and a great improvement to its artstyle. The citadel for example I would do from the ground up.

Pretty much what Siven80 says: all the technical gameplay improvements of ME3 in 1 and 2.

I would also be very happy to see some extra levels with sidecharacters other than Garrus as the leads.

Expecting anything more than an upscale to 1080p, 60 fps and HD textures plus all the released DLC is just a setup for disappointment. So good luck with that.

ive purchased the original games on the 360. Then i purchased the trilogy editions on the 360 AND PS3.  So ive bought it 3 times.  Only way im getting it again is if they take ME3 combat and put it in ME1.

then of course i like the idea of the unlocking of all that hidden stuff that the PC users got (the stuff CrazyCatDude said)

How about a new ending in ME3 that has a boss battle, kills only the reapers, and shepard isn't dead. Then a teaser trailer after the end credits alluding to ME4 set a thousand years after ME3.

If they don't want to create new endings, maybe they could take the ideas from the slides in the Extended Cut and present them as proper in-game cutscenes?

Well Bioware was asking for suggestions and feedback in regards to what people want to see in a Mass Effect trillogy re-master and that is what these fine people in this thread are doing, whether or not Bioware listens to it is another matter.

I am pretty sure nobody expects Bioware will do more than the bare minimum required to justify a re-release but if that is all they plan on doing then it just isn't worth it to me.
