What would you like to see in a re-mastered ME Trilogy?

What do I expect? A higher-resolution based on the PC version that blends the three games and the DLC together but, because the project won't have the time or budget to re-do the mo-cap, animation and consolidate the various gameplay systems (e.g. the changes in shooting and cover mechanics over the 3 games), and Shepard still dies at the end, there will be a loud backlash, and people will accuse Bioware and EA of being lazy money-grabbers, and it will impact heavily and negatively on the lead up to the next Mass Effect.

What would I like to happen?

No remastered trilogy at all.

Except for an expanded ME3 MP on the new gen.

The main change is that it wouldn't just be set during the Reaper War.  It would fill in some of the gaps of the Trilogy, like the defense of the Citadel (during ME1 and ME3), or the battles of the various Mercenary factions. Higher-resolution versions of existing maps could be repurposed for this project.  While it wouldn't have the story part of the RPG, it would have the character stats building part.

The other main change is the introduction of bots to allow single-players to play alone, and so it wouldn't just be MP.

Any content that was cut from the original. Tali's face done properly, we all know which scenes we should have seen it rendered. Obviously all DLC's already in game, or if you've already bought them originally then they're free to download. (One of the Warriors games did this).

I would have then said having ME3 gameplay in 1 and 2 but that seems to be out of the question.

I would love to see the removed content of Kaidan's male shepard romance be put back into ME1, I mean, they have all the audio so it would only require the scenes made.

Also along with better graphics, I'd love more CC options, I've been spoiled by DA:I's new one and lament the fact that the ME series never had very good headmorphs for Shepard, the male one in particular. Plus, no matter what you did, anytime you didn't use default Shep it looked like your character was an NPC when you compared them to the nice detailed faces of your companions.

Oh, lastly, please fix that mess with the retcon of Thane in the last game. :I Or you know, all the crap you did to the ME2 squadmates. (WHY CANT I HAVE SAMARA INSTEAD OF FREAKING LIARA??)

More so if you romanced him. If you romanced him, he shifted his attitude towards trying to live instead of just letting himself die of Kepral's Syndrome because he wanted to be with Shepard.

However, when you see him in ME3, he's basically reverted back to just not caring. You could attribute it to not seeing Shepard for a few months, but it basically tore down any character development they did with him at the end of ME2.

ME 1 & 2's grainy filter added to ME3. That's my preferred way of playing ME 1&2, so it would be nice to have it back for ME3.

I like the integrated DLC ideas. One of the main things I wanted is for all the DLC to be on the disc, and integrating it forces that to happen, for one. It'd also be nice to not get things like the Arrival mission popping up a quarter of the way through ME2, or have some of the weird overlaps (like Liara's minor SB quests and Lair of the Shadow Broker) worked out.

I also like restoring cut content, particularly if it makes the game more inclusive, though I'm curious what kind of work would be required for that.

As well as the DLC and better graphics...
1. Reduce the morality requirements for big decisions. If I'm going to play through ME again, I'd have the most fun as a paragade.

2. Mention Kai Leng in the game earlier, and either show the Starchild model in ME1 and ME2 or change it to the Virmire Survivor/Anderson/LI/Harbinger/whatever.

3. Make it open to the mod community.

4. Paragon/Renegade interrupts in ME1, though I know it's unlikely.

5. Space hamster and fish in ME1.

6. Weird idea, but considering how many matches some people have played maybe swap out the pasty-Anderson's assistant-white guy in Priority Earth with your most played character in the multiplayer, or make some reference to him/her (or to war assets for that matter) during ME3.

ME1 with ME2/ME3's combat and graphics.

All DLC included.

Get rid of the fake dialog options in ME1 that all say the same thing.

No paragon/renegade requirements for persuasion in ME2.

A better ending would be nice as well, though that's unlikely.

They aren't going to make a new ending. They know full well that people would only complain about it anyway, like so many did with the EC.

Ending is fine, no need to change it.

Animations need big improvement, its biggest issue at the moment.

It sounds to me like Aaryn's list mirrors my own. Integrated DLC is pretty much all I would want outside of sharper visuals for my PS4; I'll happily bite when this happens.

Yes I would buy it for PS4 but only if:

-It has all the DLC better integrated into the game

-ME1 graphical overhaul.

-some additional content specific to this edition to make it fresher

I would love this and it would finally show the world that 3 isn't quite so different than 1 in terms of "autodialogue"

All available ME2 squad mates in ME3? I guess that would be too tall of an order...

I think at first BW planned to have all old squad mates of ME1&2 as temporary squad mates in ME3 where it fits the story, like Wrex on Tuchanka, Miranda on Sanctuary etc. but in the end they ran out of time and we got what we have now.

Taking a leaf from the "seamless experience" idea I would love to see the concept taken to it's logical extreme; along with updating gameplay for ME1 and ME2 to match that of ME3, a consistent inventory management interface between games, and a single shared title screen would be Location and side-quest consistency.

All locations would remain available between games provided there is no story reason for them to become unavailable. For the most part this would mean being able to access ME1's many worlds in both ME2 and 3. It could also mean having access to nearly all the Citadel areas across each game, or ME2's Omega locations after completing ME3's Omega DLC mission or even during ME1s story.

In addition, appropriate side-quests would also carry over. So if there's a side mission that you don't feel like completing during the event's of ME1 you could do so in ME2, unless that side-quest is in some way time critical. It might allow interesting alternative ways of doing missions; the Hammerhead ones in the Mako for example, or vice-versa.

Properly doing this would be problematic, locations like Feros would probably require lots of updating to prevent the lack of change after two years being jarring, as would Noveria, Illium, Tutchanka and Omega though to a lesser extent. Most over locations bar the Citadel shouldn't need too much work, if they would then it's likely that they would be better left inaccessible. Mass Effect 3 would need to have either a Mako or Hammerhead for exploring worlds.

I recognise that doing this would likely require some amount of further voice acting etc. which would be expensive and time consuming and that as a result this is exceedingly unlikely, but it would certainly be cool.

I wonder if they could still do that. It would be nice even if temporary. After all, they do have combat animations and such thanks to the Armax Arena, so they wouldn't need to go completely from scratch.

As for 'new' content, I'd love to see ME2 get a combat simulator like the other two games and allow us to revisit our old apartment from the ME1 Pinnacle Station should we earn it in 1. After all, 2 is the only game out of the three to have an actual post game [ME1 locks you into the final boss, and 3 throws you back to pre-Chronos Station]

ME3 was perfect, when it first came out!The ONLY thing I would like to see in a RE-MASTERED EDITION is ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MISSLES.The characters powers worked 100% of the time, now with these noob missle glitchers your lucky if they work 50% of the time. The game USE to be so much fun,now its just frustrating.I was honestly looking to go top 10 in the world on leaderboards LEGITAMATELY,that is IMPOSSIBLE because of all the cheats.GREAT job on the original makeup of the game, been gaming 35 years, and ME3 was my favourite all time

Does anybody else want to get Legion earlier in ME2?

They could make the Reaper IFF mission available early on in the game and pretend it takes awhile to properly utilize it.

It would be a shame if Legion's lines that already exist remain unseen except to the most witty modders.

I think Bioware took all their "left overs" from main game developement they had to cut and put it into Armax Arena, at least the stuff they could finish with not too much effort.
