I'm turning FF on with Hard mode, just to stop myself from rushing the story.
Will you be turning friendly fire on?

How else will I test new spell combis?
*Fondly remembers casting Storm of the Century at party camp*
I'll likely start with it on. Whether it stays on, we'll see. Let's just hope the new companions aren't quick to hold a grudge ...

I'm pretty much guaranteed to spec my mage as an AoE machine. So no friendly fire for me.

No since I'm not one for micromanaging and without tactics I don't trust my companions not to nuke me.

absolutely. Adds to the difficulty and just feels more real. Plus, I can take advantage of tricks with barrier and guard.

That depends, if the A.I. got FF then I'll turn my on if it doesn't then no. I am sick of A.I. in games cheating all the time.

Depends on the character and their abilities.

I'll keep it off. It's far more fun spamming AoEs whenever I please.

Always on.

Always on for all playthroughs, except if the difficulties force it to be off. Usually it would be months after the release before I start medling with the higher difficulties.
Happy N7 day.

Keep in mind that friendly fire on will make the crafting system even deeper.
Lets see... my party has a fire mage and a storm mage. Time to build fire + electricity resist on my team members.

I trust them more without tactics - if you let Fenris run by his A.I. for example, he will quickly massacre your entire party, even your Mabari

It takes me out of the game when I cast a huge AoE on an enemy and my ally 2 feet away somehow remains unscathed.

I always groaned whenever I had to deal with Fenris in DA2. I just pray they changed the ridiculous damage from 2h friendly fire otherwise I won't be using Iron Bull much. Other than Fenris FR never really bugged me in previous titles. If anything the possibility of FR made me pay more attention to what was going on.
THANK YOU BIOWARE FOR NO FR IN MULTIPLAYER!

Nope. It'll be really hard for my 2-handed Inquisitor to romance Cass if he's always whackin' her in the head on his backswing.

No because friendly fire is arbitrary and capricious. Only mage abilities seem to deal damage to friends even though warriors and rogues also have aoes.

No. Why would I want combat to be annoying? I want to have fun and I can't have fun when I'm worrying about being backstabbed by a fireball. If I want more realism I play the simulation called Real Life , which is boring, IMO.
Interesting that realism matters in "practical" armor though. Still, I agree.

Don't plan on it. I find it annoying.
