*sigh*

I'll give you a few.

Claymore - Incinerate

Claymore - Cryo Blast

Claymore - Warp

Claymore - Throw

Claymore - Stasis

Claymore - Dark Channel

Claymore - Reave

Claymore - Singularity

Claymore - Shockwave

Claymore - Grenade

Claymore - Charge

Claymore - Havoc Strike

Claymore - Flamer

Claymore - Smash

Claymore - Poison Strike

....

Do I need to go on? For every single weapon out there? Most of the combinations work out fine. Just make sure the power animation isn't too long or too short for the weapon you're using. It's not rocket science.

You won't improve your game by checking out lists of good reload hiding combinations. Just try them out and play the game, and you'll learn fast what works and what doesn't, provided that you understand the mechanic reasonably well.

Personally confirmed to be reliable and useful in actual gameplay conditions?

But I do grant that your list is still better than a table of numbers, but I want combos that people would actually use. Most of those are pretty unlikely to be useful.

Tell you what, there is at most one that I have never tried and therefore can't confirm if it's "useful". All the others are sound, useful, and reliable. Start to get what I meant before now?

Right. If you ask so nicely... (forreal this time)

Have you personally confirmed these to be reliable and useful? That's really the point of my thread. Most of those are not useful.

On the other hand, my list is from actual people playing the game. I bet you didn't know before this that warp + hurricane is possible did you? On paper it doesn't look like it would work very well. Again the point of my thread.

Which ones do you find yourself using most often? Just give me the top 3.

This list is for those who don't have the time or will to test everything out. I want it to be a handy reference guide for the best ones--not ALL possible ones. Just give me what you think are your top 3 and let's stop arguing about it.

How convenient. Why don't you try out my warp + hurricane combo first? It'll blow your mind.

All of the combinations I listed are reliable and useful. I use them constantly on kits that have aforementioned powers.

I appreciate the effort, but the problem with the Claymore or Javelin is that it's better to just shoot + reload cancel + shoot, etc. instead of hiding it with a power on a long CD (due to weapon weight). Chances are you would be doing a lot more damage with reload canceling and no power usage. On the other hand, my example of ballistic blades + wraith is definitely better than just reload canceling the wraith since the blades can stagger twice and enable you to take on phantoms. The short CD also enables continual cycling between shooting and power usage with no pauses.

So you see, some combos are most definitely better than others and just spewing a list of technically correct ones does not help.

You're confused. The most efficient way is to use both hiding and cancelling together. They are completely independent of each other.

This. Reload hiding without reload canceling is stupid. Once you git gud and get the timing down it becomes very easy to pull off reliably.

So the question is, do you just want to reload cancel your Claymore, or do you also want to use a power while reload canceling your Claymore? It's pretty much a no-brainer.

I read this again.. If I hide the claymore reload with incinerate (QFE) how would I use reload cancel simultaneously? Wouldn't I be casting incinerate to hide rather than cancel?

When you hide the reload using a power, the reload is still happening in the "background" and you can still cancel it early using any of the usual tricks: pressing Medi-gel (on PC), dodging, meleeing, entering/exiting cover, using another power...

For example: shoot Claymore -> wait for half a second -> cast Incinerate -> wait until you hear the "click" -> cancel hidden reload by pressing Medi-gel -> continue shooting.

OK. Gonna try this tomorrow with the falcon. Use last shell in mag, wait one sec, incinerate, listen for click on my new turtle beaches, dash, then fire?
On Xbox. & ty again! My falcon is gonna be so badass.

Yes, that's how it works.

Just to be clear, there's no real reason to wait before casting Incinerate. You can cast it immediately after shooting - it just won't hide the reload, because it will finish before reload begins, but that doesn't really matter in any way. Just reload normally afterwards, it will be just as fast as with reload hiding. The whole point here is that you can wait for a little while (up to 1.2 seconds with Falcon), and the reload will still begin as if nothing was going on. However, if you wait too long, the reload will begin but will be immediately cancelled by Incinerate, and then you have to manually reload again afterwards - but now you've actually lost some time in the process.
