I doubt much went into the story. It's an arena style FPS. Not a tale about Merica saving the world from an evil Russian dictator. 

That tale would be too short, you'd press a button and that'd be it . Not that I really need to know much about the story atm, it looks like a lot of fun. I like Team Fortress too, but the classes are getting bit stale.

And I've been playing Blizzard games for 13-14 years maybe, yet to run into one that I didn't put a ton of hours into and have friends to play them with.

It seems like Titanfall basically. Or maybe Team Fortress 2.

 

Even assuming whatever iterations they make on FPS mechanics are indeed interesting, I doubt I'll play it just because there is no single player story component. Honestly watching a cinematic from Diablo 2 or something and then one from this game and you would hardly believe they are the same company.

 

That said I still think Blizzard has been amazing for gamers and gaming generally in many ways, it's just I myself am not really going in this particular direction with games. However, it will probably be very successful considering how popular the FPS genre is and therefore they probably know what they are doing in this respect.

 

It's funny, I was thinking of how interesting a Blizzard FPS would be before this announcement, but I was thinking in terms of like a Starcraft Ghost resurrection project or something. Like a Nova origin story with her pitted against her dark twin sister or something.

If your aim is to collect as many hats as possible, then sure or if you wish to play a bit now and then, but I haven't seen it endure long gaming sessions cause it gets repetitive really quickly with the amount of classes it has.

The lack of good taste is disturbing! Yes I have the right to judge, mine is excellent :S

Blizzcon overall has been really great, lot of neat things and things to look forward to and nice to see Blizzard try new things.

Tracer and Reaper are my favorites so far. I'm not really a PvP kind of guy ( Hell, I play SW:TOR for the stories  ) But I really did enjoy TF2 back in the days...... before the hats....... Might gives this a try after I played HUNDREDS of hours into DA:I

Lol, don't think they have that in stock   But Mercy does look pretty cool. I just wish Overwatch was an Superhero Action-RPG because the trailer looked SO EPIC!! Also the backstory was interesting

As long as Mercy's (and I'm assuming the other support guy for the other team) weapon isn't as atrocious as the Medic's syringe gun I'm good.

 

I'll still miss the Medic's personality though.
