Is there any other place we can play the game? I didn't get any answers in the previous thread, but I still can't access anything keep-related, even after walking through several fixes that were posted here on the forums.

I seem to be running into a lot of choices that are locked for no apparent reason. Also choices that claim to be locked until I meet certain criteria that are already met. Is the game not actually complete yet?

Any particular examples?

We're supposed to get another action every 20 minutes, but I've watched the timer count down to zero, and then start another 20 minute countdown without giving me an action. That's happened more than once. Sometimes refreshing the page will make the action show up, but most times it stays at zero.

Although the game is enjoyable, being forced to either stop playing after a certain number of actions, or paying to continue to play, makes it much less appealing. I did end up buying 22 Dawn (for $5.40), but that ran out quickly, and I refuse to pay more for a 'free' game.

Since waiting until tomorrow to continue playing will probably cause me to lose interest (or get distracted with other things and never get back to playing), I doubt I'll even finish the game. What a shame they decided to go this route.

I've noticed that the timer can be off. When you see the counter go down to zero and you don't get an action, if refresh you'll notice that the timer will drop a few minutes. What is probably happening is that your browser is constantly synching how many actions you have, but it only synches the time when you load the page. The timer in the browser tends to run slow, so you get an action, spend it, and then a few minutes later the counter will reach zero.

Have you tried updating your browser?

Ok I think I've figured out one of the problems. When it is locked because the 'circumstances' are wrong. For whatever reason the circumstances always say 'as it is' no matter what changes. So I wondered why actions that required 'as it is' where always locked.

But there were still the two options I've passed that said locked with no reason given.

Why must they make you wait to do more actions? It is really annoying when I want to progress in the game. And if I DO want to continue, and not wait for my actions to come back, I have to pay money, which is ridiculous to me. Due to the whole action thing, I feel like I am going to have to force myself to play this just so I can get the most out of my Inquisition playthrough. I really hope they have plot tiles for The Last Court, id rather choose from their than play it.

*EDIT* *EDIT* I guess it doesn't affect Inquisition, my mistake.

*EDIT* Maybe I will just play after Inquisition comes out. I doubt I could ever get dedicated to it, but maybe over a long period of time I could beat it. I was just really hoping I could beat it before Inquisition came out. I'm still going to try my hardest ( So I can see how it affects Inquisition) but really hope I can just choose in the keep. I really want to enjoy it, but the action system ruins it for me :(

It doesn't affect anything in Inquisition, so you don't have to force yourself to finish it before DAI comes out.

It seems like a fun game, but I loathe the "free to play" stylings.  I'm also unhappy with how hard it is to raise any of your stats.  I've spent 50 clues just to raise my rulership six points.  To get anywhere, they're really forcing you to buy things with real money because, otherwise, you're going to be waiting a month to get a good ending.

So I was just able to gain two favors in order to get one of the "companions" or whatever they're referred to as, which I then cashed in to make them my accomplice. As soon as I do that it brings me to the page exclaiming "X has become your accomplice". I click onward. The very next page it brings to a screen of the character I literally just recruited leaving me saying the job was done. I was given no choice to go back or retain the character and was forced to send her away. This has to be a bug, because there was no percentage chance to fail in recruiting her. It was simply turn in the two favors, get the companion. So the time spent getting those favors was a waste. The game has been surprisingly entertaining for me thus far, but that... that really pissed me off.

All up to date, unfortunately. The only thing I can view are a message in the top right saying I'm not synced and a non-functioning menu bar.

Tried resetting cookies, using a different browser, relogging, no dice.

Once you make it to the main gameplay area (with the deck of cards), click on the pinned card at the bottom called 'Preparing for the Divine.' The option to restart is in there :)

I'd love this but there are no cards under pinned card

I thought it had been stated somewhere that it was? Thanks though for telling me, I probably wont play it then but maybe I will casually play it every now and then.

the devs said during the twitch stream today that it won't affect DA:I but the information is recorded in the Keep.

You are probably still in the introduction of the game then.  Keep playing till you get your first market day and the quest to earn 3 secrets, trophies, or Viands pops up. After you pick your mission, you'll have access to the pinned cards.

I'm sort of confused about the skill leveling. Is the only way to increase stuff like Cunning, Scholarship, etc. through favors and clues? Whenever I do something that has a risk percentage attached to it it says "Cunning (or whichever stat it used) is increasing..." but it never actually increases from doing them. Well, I think I got Woods-wise to increase a little through hunting, but that was it. I thought it would be like Fallen London where taking higher risks would increase your stats more but it doesn't seem like it actually does anything here. I just don't understand why it says that if it isn't really increasing.

I managed to change my counselor to the smiling guildmistress and that boosted my ruleship 20+ so I think having people join your team will do that...?

Yes, my skills don't increase either, even though it says they are doing so.

If they are meant to be increasing, this kind of breaks the game.

I have one action but it seems to tell me that I still need to buy dawn in order to summon someone.

Yeah actually I seem to have a similar experience. Woodswise is the only stat that has increased.

My skills aren't increasing either, except for things like Rulership, Prosperity, Peril etc. Maybe the progress bar is just hidden ?

Sometimes summoning people costs 2 actions.

A certain witch is in the TLC. Figure out which one yourself.

If you finished TLC, there will be one plot point that will be in DA:I. No, if you don't do or complete the game, it doesn't matter. It'll just load in a default story instead. So if you gets bored of TLC, there's no problem to just leave it aside. Basically, you're trying to undo your ancestor's evil deed and restore your city back to glory. So I'm thinking if you finished TLC, then maybe in DA:I you might get to hear about what you did and how the city was redeemed...or something like that. It's a minor story, nothing major.

The Last Court doesn't affect anything in Inquisition, from Renata: "I would love to be less vague about this, but it's writing to a part of the Keep that you haven't seen yet (SOON). It doesn't affect anything in Inquisition, so not to worry that you aren't seeing anything in the Keep. "

The stats do increase - after getting some Woods-wise is increasing events, I get an actual number increase, so those messages compound into a visible increase over time.

Have you had anything beside Woods-wise increase ? I've gotten Woods-wise to increase but no other skill, and some people have said the same about their skills.

Yes. It's just how it works. They should have made it clearer though.
