The Last Court has microtransactions?

I was just playing the newly released browser game, The Last Court, through the Dragon Age Keep. When I ran out of "moves" (cards you take from a deck) there was a little prompt to "buy dawn" or to wait for my timer to reset my quota of actions. When I clicked on "buy dawn"  to see what it was, a little window popped up for Origin to charge me something like $2.50 for some dawn (which moves time forward, I think so you can continue playing).

Was it stated anywhere that this little game would have microtransactions? If so, I must have missed it. I didn't realize it would be like Heroes of Dragon Age, I thought it was just a little something fun to tie the games together. Surprising....

Yes , we 've been told about microtransaction.

Anyway you don't have to pay anything , you just need to be patient.^^

It was mentioned toward the end of the keep stream.

Okay, thanks. :) Admittedly I haven't paid much attention to the info about this little game, so I knew very little about it before starting.

Twitch is 95% unwatchable for me, so I'm able to catch very little on the streams. Most of the time I spend on there, the stupid thing is buffering. Twitch hates me. :(

Yeah.. I tend to have that trouble with the live streams.

I usually just go back a couple hours later and watch the recorded.

Even recorded twitch doesn't work great for me, I usually wait for things on youtube.

Thanks OP. I checked on this earlier and didn't see it to my disappointment. It's there now. :)

Sorry to hear that, but yeah the micro transactions are not a necessity to advance the game.

Yeah, I can see, it's exactly the same as HoDA, where you run out of moves/turns and can either go away and come back later or the next day after they've refilled, or pay money to continue immediately. Annoying, but I'm not about to pay. :P

Just do like I do, and view it as a way to stretch the experience until DAI's release. :)

No need to spend money on it when we have more than a week until release. :)

Eh. I might be annoyed by microtransactions if I were enjoying the Last Court.

I was having fun with it. Then the 15 min wait for reload. Still it was fun and saw a cameo.

Is this a long, long ongoing thing?

Or does it actually end?

I'm playing through it and so far I'm not really understanding the point.

It's seven days long, and basically bridges the gap between DAII and Inquisition.

Spoiler

I'm having fun with it so far. Was furious when I get the first "pay or wait, but uh, then I calmed down and put it in perspective.
