I'm having fun with it so far. Was furious when I get the first "pay or wait, but uh, then I calmed down and put it in perspective.

 

Yeah, I am one step from killing a deer that I need (whatever the beast is called) and sacrificed health to get to it. I am 1 turn away from getting it or not and now have to wait...good cliffhanger I guess. I do agree it would be good to stretch it out until DA:I but I'm bad about that.

I failed to kill my boar, but in trying I did earn the last of my 13 closing-in points (or whatever they are called). Unfortunately, it was in was my last hour of hunting, so all my progress immediately disappeared and I got booted back to the chateau with no actions left. Curses!

Bummer. I'm actually finding it much easier to fail at this game than to succeed. I wonder if I should have tried the scholar instead? Ah well.

I was going to play as the scholar until I realized that only the huntress was female, and I had already picked a girl's name for my character. Decided to just roll with the huntress!

The huntress just sounded sexier too, and I'm all about that. If there's a gender choice, I always pick female as I just find it easier to RP my own gender. (I know, I'm boring lol.)

It's actually freaking hard, isn't it? I'm perversely glad it isn't just me having a tough time!

I hate this game. I suck. I'm too high-risk high-reward to play it. I've bankrupted Serult once and there was a revolution the other time.

 

Well, the game is about balance. That doesn't preclude high risk, it just means you have to plan for it. I assume, at least. I haven't been able to play long enough to make sure that strategy is viable, but it seems to, based on the mechanics, be a fun way to plan. 

 

The problem I'm having so far is that I suck too, and that's fine--I have to learn something to play it well, but I feel like the time limit between actions is making it harder for me to see cause and effect. I suppose I should just play it in increments with long times in between them.

I hate this game. I suck. I'm too high-risk high-reward to play it. I've bankrupted Serult once and there was a revolution the other time.

 

Doesn't seem to matter how you play... I am playing it safe and conservative and I am still broke. I got Dignity tho... but I am losing that quickly.

I just tried to get a new councilor who will help me hunt, and was told that my freedom was to high, then he cussed at me.   Until I get my dignity above 0 I have that damn chantry card stuck in my hand

I keep telling myself to go do something else and wait until I have more than 1 action queued up, so I don't feel like I'm playing a card game with a person who has to go to the bathroom, make some popcorn, and then angst over their move for 10 minutes until they finally play....and yet, here I am refreshing it again to spend that 1 action.  I'M TOO IMPATIENT FOR THIS, IT'S A NEW DA GAME.

 

...I know that's how they get ya. Luckily for me, I have no money in my bank account (erm, well, lucky here, not overall) , so they can't get me.

Lol I just had my first "Serault is Shackled!" card. Thankfully it's actually easy to get rid of by winning Freedom again.

Those peasants are such a hindrance, when all I want is to kill more things in the forest.

 

Didn't buy any Dawn yet.
