I restarted because I got impatient, and now I've discovered that my first PT was actually going very well....I had pretty high dignity, freedom, prosperity and low peril.... Now I have no dignity, which fits tbh. Shouldn't have restarted. 
I'm still finding it a ton of fun, although frustrating due to the time.

Every time I think i'm doing well it ends up I'm uh...not. I think i'm about to be overthrown by dirty peasants. After all I've done for them, like that one time I gave some people my lunch. I'm not strategy savvy enough for the town + the wait really kills any momentum you get

I would honestly rather pay a one time fee to play this than do free to play with micro transactions. I mean I get that due to its Keep integration, people would flip about that, but eh.
Mmh, but how much people would be willing to pay?
When I think of games like Endless Legend (go Amplitude! 
) where you pay your game and new factions and game mechanics are added freely later or CDP announcing free dlcs (don't care if it's a marketing ploy, and I'm far from being a Witcher enthusiast ) the comparison hurts (Grabby hands VS what I consider a Fair Deal imo). I get that they have to make money, but freemium can really be annoying, you never really own your game because chunks of gameplay are actually charged separately. Like if you had a set number of Jumps allowed in a platform game and had to pay for a pack of Jumps to finish a stage (might be a bit caricatural but it's the basic idea).

One guy showed up, and I quickly told him that he was lying because that person isn't alive in my world state. Then I had the woman that everyone else has had show up too. I'm no where near getting a lover, new councilor or any of the other people though.
I've also gotten those two cameos in my PT as well. Wonder if any other characters are out there.

I'm getting better at the game, which is making it slightly less frustrating.
And re: the f2p vs pay one time fee thing....I get why they did it the way they did. I just would prefer it the other way, haha, but obviously they have to do what is best for the franchise and also the specific game in context of that as well as their own interests.

Freedom is at 0, Prosperity is at 98, and Twilight, Peril and Rumors of Revolution are all at 10.

Okay, I can go to bed happy now. I got the wayward bard as a lover and increased my cunning, which I desperately needed. 
Hopefully, I can get an accomplice and a bodyguard tomorrow. Oh...and a better counselor since the starter one sucks.

My lover is the Bard, he gives you +20 Cunning. I...actually don't remember another lover option. I assume there is at least one other one, but I grabbed him pretty quickly/easily.
I was this close to hunting that deer (or whatever) but I was out of action points. After a while I came back but my session had expired and I lost all progress

Erk. Was not expecting microtransactions. How do you restart? I picked huntress thinking I'd have an option to choose gender separately. Was wrong and want to start over with scholar.
Currently my Dignity is "magnificent" which I find pretty remarkable considering I'm garbage at everything else.

I did the same thing! You can quit and restart through the "Prepare for the Divine" card.
