I found a tutorial on using Tanita's Watermill that I thought was really good, and wanted to share.

http://rekov.wordpre...-on-an-incline/

The person's blog has a number of fine looking areas they've made for some PW's, though I didn't recognize the name as someone who posts here.

C'est moi!

If anyone has any advice on basically anything, it would be more than welcome!

@Kamal_ thanks for the pointer, I have never used the watermill, might give it a try.

@Rekov - I remember you started a thread on Tundra a little while back :) some useful ideas came ouit of that.

I like your other exteriors, they look good. What is your project in hand at the moment?

I like your areas too. Plus the watermill tutorial of course. But what I also want to mention is that even though I don't know you from the forums here, you are active and read what's going on. This is great hope and makes me feel like there might be more and more people creating or playing, but just not showing up here. Cheers.

I've been doing some work for these guys, and I've been doing some work for myself with the eventual long-term goal of throwing up a module. Unfortunately I've only been able to work on it on and off, so I expect it will take a while, but I'm enjoying the process enough that it's worth it either way.

That tundra area turned out okay. I didn't like how the sorrel turned out. The patches of it are too defined. I'm probably going to redo the grass and textures at some point.

Nice blog. I could never remember where that Pont Senni area came from but now I know. Excellent work all around, it really shows how powerful the toolset can be in the right hands.

That's very kind of you to say! I feel as though I've come so far since then, though. Especially with making natural environments feel less monotonous with how different grasses fit together.

I'm dearly missing that script of yours for having lights come on and off with the day/night cycle!

It was actually really simple, if you'd like it I'd be happy to send you a copy. I'm also working on a more robust one for my current PW that lets you set on hours and gives some more freedom with assigning VFX to the light objects.

That would be great! I'm still largely unfamiliar with many of the available functions, so all of my scripting has just entailed tons of reading.
