Augh! I made the Bard my lover and I was really looking forward to reading the story-text that came after, but instead I got a pop up telling me my session had expired, and when I re-logged in I was back on the cards screen!
Does anybody remember the gist of the flavor-text? Or, since I know we have a Failbetter dev reading this forum, could you pleeeeeeease cut-and-paste the text for me? I feel seriously bummed that the game didn't let me read it.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried "Acquire Luxuries To Impress the Divine"? Do you gain more than one Viand or just one?

Just one. But honestly I find those options quite effective for gaining trophies/viands/secrets since it's not too difficult to build back up to 100 from 50.

Just one. It's not a bad way to get luxuries, IMO.
(still kind of hate this game, but at least I understand how it works now. and at least you don't actually need 50 McGuffins to get the best ending)

Kaibe, you are THE BEST.
My experience with the game has been that it's very chancy at the beginning. I had Peril at 100 for a looong time and Prosperity at 0 for a while too. However, once you get things stabilized (and your stats up/advisors in place), it becomes quite easy to sail on and to generate whatever sort of currency you want (royals, trophies, etc). I feel like I'm doing very well in the game now. I *did* buy some Dawn so maybe that helped me get through the rough patch at the beginning faster--my feeling is that game developers deserve to make money, so I don't mind pay-to-play if it's a game I'm enjoying. The writing is quite strong and I'm intrigued by the story.

Also, I am totes done with The Dashing Outlaw. Sure, maybe there was a justification for her back when the peasants were impoverished and ruled with an iron fist, but now Prosperity's at 88 and Freedom's at one-frickin'-hundred, and I just found out that the Outlaw is
(I did love some of the dialogue between the Huntress and the Outlaw, though.

Ugh!
So I restarted as the Huntress. I had the perfect plan. First, Get Guild Mistress, Bard, Tea Dwarf, and Hunter. Max out my Derring Do with clues. Then trade Huntsman for Outlaw, max my Rulership and Cunning, then trade Guild Mistress, Bard, and Tea Dwarf, for Knight, Abbess, and Pig Farmer. That way, I'd be good at everything except Scholarship and I'd get +60 to scholarship from my entourage.
But I just realized that even if you have 100 Derring-Do, you can fail challenges if you don't have the Huntsman. I just lost a duel against some inbred bandit leader even though I had 100 Derring-Do! That's not cool guys! Not cool at all!
I'll see myself out.

since you have uprising and wyvern hunt then I guess that means you've picked the Dour Lordship card (the one where the neighboring marquis arrives) and the Dowager has gotten ill, i'd definitely see that one through because... well i don't want to spoil it but damn did it feel good when you get to the end of that little quest if you "break the rules". ![]()

Just finished the wyvern hunt and got rid of the uprising. Now I gotta wait until my actions return to normal. Also, my every threat except revolution is low. My revolution is 90 low. Thats what I get for trying to get more bags of royal with 72% chance of success. Any way to reduce revolution except for the hunter since I already have him?

Trying to decide something....what should I do when the lord of the forest wants to kidnap a guy for hunting a dear?
I mean I owe the guy a debt sort of but at the same time..I've killed a shitload of dear. I wish I knew why "have him driven from the hall" is a locked option...
Ah whatever he can ask for something reasonable to repay the debt. Like money.

if i remember correctly, finishing the final quest involving the Dour Lordship will take quite a big chunk out of the revolution score and the peril score

I bet "have him driven from the hall" is locked because you are in his debt.
At this point, though, I am *very* skeptical of the Horned Lord, and I will choose military options if necessary to prevent him getting his hands on any more of my people.

Any chance the Huntress or the Scholar will show up in DA:I? So I can bang them?

Funny enough I was watching Princess Mononoke on another screen when the Errant Siblings questline came up. That may have influenced why I chose to bargain with him rather than drive him off.
I gave him the hunter who killed the deer, but now he's taken my Bard to 'compose a ballad for him'. I tried being nice and using Royals to get him back politely, but apparently he insists. So **** him, I'mma going hunting and getting my Bard back.

From reading the forums I think it comes into play if your health drops to zero; you can use it to restore some helath.

Nope, my health has dropped down to zero twice and I haven't been able to access it. Has anyone else, though? Maybe it's a bug for me. :/
