SO, I had pig girl as accomplice, so I spend the tea dwarf favors and got him. I lost the pig girl stats and options but her protrait is still showing up besides the tea dwarf in the accomplice window, is this a bug?

@LordParbr: Hmm, I see and I understand what you mean but one thing that I think is worth noting is that the mages are the one who have the most knowledge about magic. And if we analyze the situation of Serault, there's a good chance that people want to distance themselves from magic so as to try and erase the Shame of Serault.

@Siduri: Maybe the Horned. Knight is like how Justice was in DAA, showing a constant interest in our world and if we go by the knowledge that

his interest for the human world makes sense because he is! for lack of a better term! an artificial construction, possibly he might even be an abomination for all we know, albeit a semi-benevolent one like Wynne. But yeah, he isn't like the flavor you'd expect in the DA setting, still I am very interested in him

right, and this is the kind of case wherein having a working knowledge of DA lore actually hurts you, because your first instinct is to not work with him because, to someone who actually knows the DA world, this guy is likely a demon...

Although, sylvans are actually possessed by confused spirits who were ripped from the fade, not demons.

Out of curiosity--got a source for that? Just asking because the Dragon Age Wiki quotes this codex entry for Wild Sylvans:

"For demons crossing over into our world, mankind is not always the preferred prey. Possessing humans means risking encounters with powerful mages and templars, as well as other complications. Some demons find it far easier to seek out animals or even plants, assuming that these will make as suitable a host as a human. Those that possess trees are known as wild sylvans.

Generally, only demons of rage, the weakest of the demon hierarchy, will become a sylvan. Once they do, they must spend a great deal of time twisting and molding the host in order to make it mobile, and once they have the sylvan is a powerful and deadly opponent. Other, more intelligent, spirits have also been known to become sylvans, and are generally much less violent, but these are rare."

I could have sworn someone in the game said that the sylvans came about by some ritual that went wrong pulling spirits into our world... Might have been something else in Awakening, or something

You know, I am beginning to think that the Horned Knight is like a cross between either a golem and a sylvan, or an abomination and a sylvan. But I have nothing to back up that theory :(

As far as I know it's just the Bard or Abbess. (And the Abbess has to be your Counselor first, before she can be moved to the Lover slot.)

I still have the bonus from her as well

The Bard cheats on you? :crying:

Yep. Darn him and his mustache. If I play again I'll be romancing the Abbess.

I don't mind the bard's cheating, since i picked scholar :P, and love, sex and relationships are probably complicated in orlesian courts.

What is the cost to move her to the Lover slot?  I don't want to summon her without being able to move her first.

Also, can I replace her as Councilor BEFORE I make her my lover?

Cost is pretty cheap, just a dignity check (you need 50 min I believe), maybe some other cheap stuff. and No she has to be councilor at the time you switch her to lover. After that you can replace her, but not before.

On that note what is the best way to raise dignity?

I let it drop to raise other values. Now it's at about 25 or something like that.

I believe it's only usable on a hunt once your health falls below a certain level. Similar to provisions.

What happens if you fail the dignity check?  Will she not become your lover, and you lose the Authority, or will you just lose dignity, but she's still your lover?

Nope. I have gotten to 0 on a hunt with it there and no elfroot option nor an option on the provisions card either. I have all my 30 things so my main goal is trying to figure out the elfroot mystery.

I will try tougher hunt tomorrow to see if that does the trick.

I got rejected the first time, because I was pitiable or something :D

Now I have her as a lover though. Only one missing is the Purveyor of Teas as my accomplice. 5 days left (4 tonight).

Ok, so I have a question for you all.

You know the special market day cards, with the card "A Plea for Sanctuary"?  When you choose to let her stay  is the questline supposed to end there or is there supposed to be more to do afterwards like with the one with the siblings or the "Flames of Freedom"?  Mine sort of just ended and I just noticed I've been given the option to choose the card again for the new market day....

Is that a bug or just some super short only small stat building repeating market day card?

EDIT:

Ohhh....Morrigan is leaving and talked more.

Spoiler

Thanks to those who helped me out by advising against the Flames of Freedom card with my already high Rumors of Revolution.

My game took a bad dive though and my good stats got dangerously low, including health, and the bad stats got rather high. I managed to pull Serault out of it however, and now I'm sitting comfortably with Dignity 100, Freedom 72, and Prosperity 100. All the "bad" stats (Peril, Twilight, and Revolution) are below 40, I've got a combined total of 21 trophies, viands, and secrets. I've got 3 markets days left too.

Things are looking good B)

I'm doing the questline that leads to that now... I'm not sure if I'll take him back or not.
I have the Outlaw as my Accomplice, so I already have a bonus to Cunning... but my base Cunning stat is quite low (and I haven't been spending Clues to raise it because I had two companions to boost it...)

The Dance choice from the Dowager and the herald will increase Dignity by 10 every time as long as your Rulership is decent.

Interesting little piece about the difficulty, real or perceived, of Last Court that I stumbled on in the twitter thread: http://thetrollingch...-the-last-court

Anyone else having this problem? :D
