I wonder if favors will be useful for the visit.

 

I found favors more than useful for the market day cases as you often only need to own the favor (its not used up by all events) and wonder if they also have use in the ending. I got 1 favor of every possible person atm (except for the horned knight).

If so then my suspicion is correct.

Very much worth doing! It unlocks a chain of smaller events and there's a number of interesting choices to make along the way. You get some story insight too.

Got a "most satisfactory ending," not sure if that means best ending or not, but I had extra secrets still at the end and got 15 or 16 favors in total at the end...

Do you get to pick what favors you want? Specifically, if you don't go into the Sealed Chantry can you ask the Divine to unseal it?

You do get a key or something, maybe, when speaking to the Divine, but you don't get a chance to use it. I opened it beforehand, Divine got upset, I apologized, lost viands, trophies, and secrets.

I started with 52 in total, and it dropped to... I think 35 or something, I forget.

However, things went smoothly from there. The favors are just the things you need to collect, you don't spend them on anything. First, you need 8, and then you need 10, then it ended for me.

I was never able to hunt that Bereskarn, as I picked that card on my last market day and it jumped right to the Divine...

I burn through my actions when I can, but I'm not sure there's much else I need to do. Maybe round my secrets to 36 or increase my good stats/decrease my negative stats. Have missed even more plot screens because it makes me reload every goddamn time I ignore this for awhile. So I cannot really say much about the writing here, but I can say I couldn't stop playing no matter how much I said I would. Because this is a Skinner box, I guess, and I have a real problem with those.

You all should note that once you reach 100 in Dignity, Freedom, or Prosperity, you have the option of trading in 50 of whichever is maxed out + 25 clues to get a Viand, Secret, or Trophy through the Prepare for the Divine card.

Stats are so high I always end up with a 80-100% option with every card now. If you have a bunch of clues lying around and you don't have a Case, invest in stat increases for your lower stats.

I am just coasting now because I have enough for the Divine. I could raise my skills but why? most of the time I can't fail. I can get usually 10 clues while hunting which means i don't lose clues to hunt so I can continue to raise my Trophies and Viands at will. I could try for more secrets but as the huntress I am better suited to hunting.

For those of you who wanted the exact dialogue for what's hidden under the silks when the Scornful Sorceress is about to leave.

She sighs. "Oh, you are one of those. I bet if you were given a wish you would wish for three more wishes, would you not? Very well, come on, come on." She leads you to her carriage, where she loosens the ties on her mysterious cargo and flips back the silks.

 

It is a mirror, clear as diamond. "The elves call it an Eluvian: a seeing glass." You feel an impression of yawning depth, as if you were standing at the edge of a chasm. You lean forward. Her hand catches your elbow. "No. Do not look." Why? What would you see? The Sorceress frowns. "Well, yourself for a start. And take it from the rest of us, that is no easy thing to look at. Beyond that, who knows? Glass has two sides, your Grace, and there are stranger directions than 'North' and 'South'."

 

Why does the Empress want it? The sorceress flicks the sheet back over the glass. "You have your answer, your Grace. It will have to do for now. You have been gracious and intriguing. I do hope your curiosity does not land you in trouble." She bids you farewell, and rides east.

 

Sending away the Elusive Ionoclast.

The Elegant Abbess waits, masked, in the courtyard. "We'll cloister her in the Rose Tower," she tells you, leading the way, "where she will spend her days in isolated prayer." The chambers are modest but comfortable, with an adjoining walled garden planted with neat, alternating lines of rosemary and basil. A heavy, pepper-haired woman is waiting there, clad in silver armor decorated with diving hawks. Her smile is lazy, but her eyes are sharp.

 

"The chevalier Joleise will guard her night and day," the abbess explains. "It is my fervent hope that one day we can cure this poor child of the visions that have allowed her no rest."

 

For the first time, the Iconoclast speaks. "You can't cure revelation, mother."

 

"Enough, Aulienne," the Abbess says. "Enough, now."

 

Without her, the revolution goes from sear to simmer. The dissidents wait to see if she will return to lead them. But the chevalier Joleise sleeps little and lightly, and the Iconoclast is not seen again beyond the abbey walls.

Well, i finished it now, for some reason i could do double market day (Not using dawn) I had a total of 33 secret/trophies in total, and got the most positive ending.

 

You will need to get a total of 10 favor from the divine, to get the best ending, and 3 tokens transfer into 1 favor. However, it has to be per 3, so if your stuck or 1 or 2, you cant use them.

 

Also, you can have 3 chosen folk from the city, petition the divine, for 1 favor gain per person.

 

So, technically, you will need: 21 Secret/Trophies/V..something, however it needs to be whole 3's.

I had max in Dignity/Prosperity/Freedom- and between zero and 6 in all the peril/rumors etc.

 

I dont really feel the ending reveals much however, The last court, is nice and all, but you dont loose out on anything by not playing it. Compared to the overall story of DA.

Beginnings

 

"...Serault's Shame will be stricken from the record. Her honor is restored. In truth, I doubt it could ever truly be taken from her." That night you sleep a deep, just sleep, untroubled by dreams. You are woken by doves cooing at your window. The sun is rising. The sky is the colour of rose-gold. It takes the Divine's party most of the day to leave for the peace talks. Bleary Templars drill in the courtyard to clear their wine-fogged heads. Advisers haggle and intrigue, jockeying for a position at the head of the procession. Servants cram belongings into bags, pile the bags onto mules, and coax the mules - solemn and whickering - into the column. It is afternoon before the cavalcade passes through the town gate. You stand atop the Tower of Lights and watch them pour, slow as treacle, along the eastern road. The Divine will carry word of Serault's absolution to all of Orlais. A westerly wind stirs. A new wind, bearing an early hint of summer: soft honeysuckle, dry grass, boastful thunder.

 

Your counselor calls from below. "Your Grace? You are needed in the great hall. An emissary from Claose has been murdered on the road. He carried a silver box, sealed with lead. It had been forced open. Inside were the remains of a letter. Burnt." Duty calls. You turn to the stairs. Serault awaits you.

 

So I mean it sounds good...although I'm not sure what to make of that last bit? 

Afterward it said I got "...a most satisfactory ending."

 

On a related site note though, did everyone else see what the Horned Knight tried to do?

When he tried to gift the Divine the possessed Priestess with flowers for eyes?  Lol, I'm glad I checked with him beforehand, that would have ended badly.  That was hilarious though.   

 

It was fun to playthrough though, although I don't think I'll do it again.

That was also going in with around 23 secrets, 15 Viands and 15 Trophies, for anyone interested.

The feast in my game is shaping up to be something that will make the Divine keel over in her soup. Not only do I have the Horned Knight coming, I've also got the Anchoress living in my chateau.

I'd *really* better do a lot of hunting over the next couple days, because all these stag livers and boar's tusks are my last hope. "Nooooooo Your Holiness, don't declare an Exalted March on my little fiefdom of apostates and abominations! Try the bereskarn pâté."
