Personally I'd try to make the smiling guild mistress my councilor and just get that boost, I'm not sure what the repercussions are for getting rid of your original seneschal, but unless he charges into he room while you are sipping tea with the divine and carrying a picture of you in your knickers I severely doubt it's worth regretting.

In the meantime you really should try to get 47 more combined of anything since 50 secrets, trophies, and viands combined gets you the optimum ending (quoting the guide)

I executed her. I had a low percentage for success but it worked.

If the results in this game are supposed to matter, then why does it seem like we only get one per account?  (and thus you don't have any decisions matter I guesss)

No. Just lowered Rumors of Revolution. It'll undoubtedly have repercussions if you fail, though.

I thought someone said that 15 is the minimum and if you had 50 it would give you an awesome ending. But I could be wrong. I wish I knew; I would be throwing trophies at the Hunter to get him to do stuff for me. That guy is AWESOME at his job if he's a body guard, but I don't want to throw trophies at him if it means that I'm not going to get the best ending.

 

Someone needs to write out an official guide to this game. What's the exact number of secrets/trophies/viends to get the greatest ending ever, what happens if you open the Shame's Tomb and the repercussions, and why the heck can't you use royals and Prosperity as the same thing?

15 for a "good" ending and 50 combined for the "optimum" ending. If I had to guess if you only picked up 3 then you would have the divine show up and be like this: "Oh look, you killed 3 wild pigs, am I supposed to be impressed?", 12 would be mildly amused, 15 and she starts unshaming Serault, 20 and she unseals the chantry herself, and so on and so forth until you hit 50 when Serault is praised for it's dignity, freedom, prosperity, and all around safety whilst being unshamed entirely and become more respected by it's neighbors.

 

This is speculation since I haven't hit the seventh day yet, but quote me if I'm wrong.

I've got 22 just now. Secrets are the easiest, you get them by completing cases. 50 seems gamed so that you either have to play perfectly or get that dawn stuff. Apparently the market days offer more as you get further into the game.

 

If you have to get 15 of everything I'm fuuuuugged.

I just use the storylines that are unlocked on market days to gain a ton of secrets, and convert my town's prosperity/nobility each time one reaches 100 (they are fairly easy to raise once you know the right cards and have good stats).

Got The Dashing Outlaw as my accomplice, hoping to get The Silent Hunter as my bodyguard. So a nice 20 boost to cunning which is interesting considering I'm a Huntress. Although Peril and Rumours of Revelation are absolutely horrific.
