So I have seen a few youtube video's of a build they let some people play.  Angry Joe played through the beginning of the game but he skipped all the conversations.  I don't mind spoilers and want to see this stuff....

Looks like the devs will be streaming the prologue on Monday, so that's your best bet for that. When the review embargo lifts on the 11th, I assume there will be more.

So do I. Very much so. I want to see a demonstration of a role-playing game not all the combat video I have seen so far. What I have watched may as well be Space Invaders with next gen graphics. ["Your choices matter" in that game too...] Nothing wrong with combat. Nothing wrong with "sexy walk"... but there had better be a relationship to interactive story in there. I do not want to watch a film of cutscenes. There needs to be a reason to engross me, as a human being, that is a better proposition than routines and subroutines of flashy combat and stripper struts. I do not need Batman: Arkham Asylum as the sum total of my role-playing here. .

Bioware hasn't allowed those kinds of videos to release so far and the videos made haven't been allowed to show their play through the first part of the story as well as having their demo stopped at the next big one, so they are confined to showing the combat/exploration stuff only, really. I think its a smart move, since they were the two things they really needed to show to get people back on board with the game.

As for the interactive story aspect....I don't think there is any way they could show that without massive spoilers, because part of what makes a good interactive story is options + consequences.

Hopefully if you watch the prologue stream on Monday you'll start to get an idea of how that will work, but I think mostly you'll have to wait for reviews or the game itself to decide the effectiveness of that.
