I want to know who the samurai guys are that he's fighting. Also, will he have a patented one-shot giant kill attack? Game play footage doesn't seem to support that one.

 

This doesn't make him any closer or further away from my party. Cassandra is still more interesting, but I have an open slot ...

See I think it'd be cute if he had a crush on Vivienne, it's been stated before they have a good relationship, that she keeps him in line. He'd throw pick-up lines at her and she'd brush them off calling him a fool, smiling despite herself.

Pfff... was expecting to see Bull killing the giant with his horns.... Why dont qunari use their horns??? Horns are meant to be a weapon not just cosmetics....

 

If I make a qunari inquisitor can me and Bull have a horns fight? (not the kinky kind mind you)

@DanAxe:  Putting your head forward in a battle where weapons are used is suicidal.  Horns are not equal weapons to steel.

 

Someone asked why he wasn't using his weapon on a battlefield until the giant... I'd hardly call a few scared Tevinter a "battlefield".

 

@Daveliam:  Not really - he might not be attracted to a Tevinter, a demon, a bald elf mage or a dwarf.  He might just be "Hot for Inquisitor" which wouldn't go against it.

I was obviously joking i dont think sticking your head in front of you while charging an armed men would be wise, or good for the head

 

Id love to see a bloody scene where Bull would finish off some oponent by impaling him with his horns tho. I know i know, thats probably too brutal... and his horns dont seem to stick in the best position for that haha

His comrades are alive and working for the Inquisition aswell. I think the Inquisitor hires the Bull Chargers.

I really liked it, Bull is awesome but I wish we could get one for every character.  I get the feeling though Varric might be the only other companion we'll get to see.

I really didn't pick up on that vibe.  He's actually the anti-Wolverine: Gregarious, jovial, light-hearted...really the only comparison is he's good at fighting? 

 

I hope each companion gets their own, but from a marketing standpoint I can see why they might only have Vivienne, Iron Bull, and Varric trailers.  Vivienne showcases magic/mages, Iron Bull the Qunari, and Varric the dwarves.  It grants a broad spectrum view on the races & classes without being too Introductions 101.

Still not sure about the voice, but maybe I'll get used to it.

 

I think the main problem is FPJ picked a strange accent for TIB , a Sean Connery accent , and he can't keep the accent up all the time.

Sometimes when he talks you can clearly hear Vega and sometimes you hear the fake S.Connery.

 

So yeah ...I'm not sure why this happened .Let's hope in game it won't get too bad ...but from what I've heard of FPJ performance so far it's all over the place.

The good new is the acting/tone etc seems fine ...it's just the goddam fake accent.

Oh my god he looks like such a badass but tank #2 so far is reserved for Blackwall!!!  Second playthrough for sure?

 

In Origins I rotated my tanks a lot so maybe I can do the same here. So many cool characters, I want all of them in my party at the same time lol~

Do we? I played Dragon Age 2 and I'm pretty sure I don't know him anymore than I do Cassandra.

True.Varric may have been your companion in DA2 and he was most fun in my opinion but...hey what do we know about him?Lets see:

-He is surface dwarf from family Tethras that used to be nobility in Orzammar until his father was caught fixing proving and his whole family got exiled then.

-He is fond of his crosbow that he named 'Bianca'(now I won't tell anything further that I know because of spoilers I recommend reading "Until we sleep" to find out yourself).

-He likes telling stories but leaves his own 'blurred'.

-He seems to be Carver case and envy Bartrand his older brother a little but he is not annoying as Carver in this case.(For those who have not played DA2 this is spoiler again but in Act 2 if you bring Varric on mission "Night Terrors" pride demon will state how Varric always was jealous of Bartrand) 

 

So in my opinion we don't know Varric at all lol This kind of information you can get from character's codex or this is same information you know about someone you heard about or have just met.This is same information we had about Merril in DAO where we only knew that she is keeper's first,she cared about her clan and wanted to know more about elves history,we knew nothing more about her until DA2.Unlike her Varric we did had as companion trough entire game in DA2 but still we know nothing about him except some basic information.

Are people seriously suggesting that what we know about Varric, after his playing a central role in a game as well as being one of the protagonists of the comic series, is equivalent of a codex entry? 

 

Of course we don't know everything about him.  And, yes, he's been vague about the details of his past.  But we certainly know more about him than we do Sera, Blackwall, Dorian, and Solas.  And, while we know a bit about Cassandra and Cole (more so Cole), we know more about Varric than either of them as well (maybe not Cole, given that he played a major role in a novel).  ETA:  Actually, I forgot about Cassandra's anime.  I'd say we know as much about her as we do Varric (maybe a bit more). 

 

To say that we know "next to nothing" about Varric "except for some basic information" and that we "don't know him anymore than Cassandra" seems like people are, perhaps, not really paying attention.
