Damage. Duration isn't worth it over the damage, the enemy will be dead, by the time it wears off.
Even if your recharge is -200% you can still re-cast Dark Channel in less than 30 seconds, which is the base duration. Frankly, duration on DC seems utterly and completely pointless; I get that it does more total damage per single casting, but since you can always recast before it runs out it should have almost 100% uptime anyway. Besides, any enemy should be dead within 30 seconds, unless you have neither squadmates nor warp ammo.

If I was (re-)balancing DC I would've changed the duration 40% to increase the transfer range.
Pick damage. Believe it or not, you can actually re-cast it before the duration runs out.

Definitely damage. While the duration evolution does give you more damage on paper, in practice Dark Channel will either kill the boss or run out of targets before 30 seconds is up. Might as well do as much damage as you can during those 30 seconds.

This is the reason I took duration (for huntress; damage for fury and collector). Not so much for solos, but for clutching pugs - which is probably more than 1%.
Dark Channel is biotic version of Herpes. You definitely don't want to catch it from someone who died from it.

Kind of changes my opinion on a one night stand with the Fury.
Duration could only be better if you're soloing platinum and want to play very defensively on a large-scale map.
I've been bored lately. Maybe I will take a duration spec and carry bad pugs with only Dark Channel > hide for a minute > repeat
I would point out on a solo duration can be a little bit more fire and forget easy mode on bosses. Problem is dark channel will only jump so far to it's next target so sometimes you might not get the full damage out of a single cast of the power.
Damage is the best answer but duration might not be terrible on a solo especially if you DC a big target then focus weapons on the smaller targets.
