Well, now, you've been quite busy while I've been gone. Very nice, I must say. I myself rather like Jowan despite all his flaws (or perhaps because of them). He puts your mage PC in a difficult place where his/her loyalties are truly conflicted.

:innocent: Some angst is good, I just try not to go overboard unless I'm doing parody.

Yup, I've been a been fan art beaver this weekend. My muse wouldn't stop prodding me. It's still poking me in the side right now, in fact - even though I know I have several things to do today and probably won't get to anything for a while.

I like Jowan despite his faults too. Even though on every replay I know he's going to screw Legam over in the origin, I help him and his sad puppy face out. xD And I always feel bad for him at Redcliffe, despite all the trouble he inadvertently caused.

Thanks. I figure if he was friends with the mage PC for so long, he probably had his good moments every now and then. That, or the PC has the patience of a saint.

And yeah, poor Legam. His parents were one of the few who didn't disown him for being a mage. Didn't want him to go to the Tower, but they weren't able to get in trouble with the Templars/Chantry (especially since they didn't worship the Maker). So Legam's mother exchanged letters wtih him at least once a month from when he went to the Circle at age 8 until about age 16, when this incident happened.

Hrm. Got some time now to do another fan art, but I can't decide on which idea to do, though they all involve Legam/Leliana fluff. Anyone have any preferences? Here's what themes I'm considering:

• Dancing
• Gift giving
• Leliana teasing Legam about his ears
• Spellcasting used in non-combat ways (I have both slightly naughty and sappy ideas for this, but I'm leaning more towards the latter)
• A scene post-Blight that wasn't covered in Chapter 11 of SoL; basically stuff that might be mentioned in the last chapter, but isn't related to the Calling. So I guess doing this would be some sort of teaser?

Hm, think that's about it. What are you guys wanting to see?

By the way I did a very quick and cheesy thing with all your Fanart here its quite cheesy but it features one of my favorite Judas Priest song and I think it goes well with your story, if you don't like it tell me I will remove it.

Well, the kind of taekwando class I take is more for excercise and we do mostly stretches and basic exercises; we don't focus as much on the kicks/punches. That said, some of the stretches are pretty awkward to do if you keep thinking about what you're going to be drawing when you get back home. :innocent:

Oh wow... Holy crap, I'm flattered.  And it's a lovely song, too (the whole song's now on my iTunes, heh. ). Makes me wish I had more fan art of them done so you didn't have to repeat some of them near the end.

That said... all the SoL ones are low quality - which I know isn't your fault, as I posted them at lower resolutions. Do you want me to link you some higher res ones to replace them with so they don't look so fuzzy? You don't have do fix it if you don't want to, but the offer stands.

(EDIT: Olwaye updated the video since then, so it's different than what we were originally talking about. Just FYI for newcomers to the coversation)

I have some photos I have to scan for my taekwando teacher, and I have to tweak a few things on my current commission, so the fan art is getting pushed back a bit. I WILL be working on it more tonight; I just might not get to it until another hour or two.

Glad you liked it and glad I can spread JD stuff around.

I do think this song is perfect for SoL and I really love Rob Halford performance on this one, plus great guitars part from KK and Glenn.

I wanted to do the full song but I would have had to repeat too much pictures ( damn you JD for making such long songs ),  I will update as you create more art I guess.

Ha! Well, my taste in music is very broad - genre-wise, I like almost anything except most American mainstream rap/hiphop and country. And even then, I have songs I love from those genres. But I tend to favor rock, metal, and show tunes type stuff the most.

It would've been long for the video, but when I listen to it I think of it as about average length. After three years of my metalhead buddy showing me stuff that averaged out at 7-15 minutes long, I still think of 3-4 minute songs as short. XD It's not a bad thing, just how I perceive song length.

And I agree - it's a great song for Leliana/Legam. I have a few I use for them on my playlist, but I'd have to look the names up.
Awesome! Well, I fully intend to draw more. The ideas I listed above will probably most or all be addressed at some point, and other ideas might strike me in the meantime.

Well, if you ever find fitting songs for Leliana/Legam, Legam, or heck - anything related to Dragon Age, feel free to share the names! I love finding themes for characters, in both fandoms and my own original works.
