WOW! I am seriously considering becoming gay after seeing that picture. Posted Image

But from an objective point of view: Although he may not be the most handsome or beautifil man around, he does have a certain teddybear quality to him. Posted Image

Ha! Eh, I don't think that would get you anywhere with him anyway. ;)

Yeah, he kinda does. Appropriate though, I think, since his personality is fairly teddy bearish in many ways. =]

Last thing for the night. Second WIP piece for the montage for my club contest entry. First one with Leliana and Marjolaine's on the previous page.

Those last pictures are really good, I don't know if you're good at girly but you manage the Baroque/ 17th 18th century quite nicely. Kudos to you.
I love Leliana with longer hairPosted Image. And I swear I am not picturing her naked, no no no not at all, not me sir,  I shall resist the dark side of manlinessPosted Image ( also known as BPBF, Boobs, Pizza, Beer and Football).
Et merde!!!! I failed! Posted Image

Funny to see all the comments on Legam from you ladies, it's reassuring for the common manPosted Image.
Hey Legam is my kind of man as well, I'd buy him a beer (although he seems more the wine type to me, nice rich Syraz or maybe a great aged Rioja) any time.
Great WTF drawing of legam, love the belly scratching.

All hail the divine power of mammary glands. Brainwashing men since the first days of creation. Posted Image

What does BPBF stand for? The Belgian Pool Billiard Federation, the British Paper Box Federation, the Bernie Powers Band Foundation or the PB-binding factor BPBF, an endosperm-specific DOF transcriptional activator of the Hor2 gene?

And to Ranger: I like the Baroque pictures featuring Leliana. Posted Image You really have talent.

Yes, I had a bit of fun today writing about how he *tries* to master a templar focusing ability but thinks about Leli (naked) instead.  *sigh*  He's a boy, what can I say.

According to professional idiot/pervert (depending on your view) Atton Rand, from Kotor 2, projecting emotions like lust does help one resist Jedi and Sith mind control powers. So what Aedan does might help against blood magic. Posted Image

Hm, should I tell Aedan this or not?  He's fun to write when he's being all angsty and tortured!

Maybe I'll let him discover it for himself...

DalishRanger wrote...

And even Legam's not free of the typical guy train of thought. All those years at the Circle tower made him really good at concentration, though - so his mind can "multitask" better. And he's probably better than Aedan at hiding his train of thought when it ventures into the gutter.

So perhaps Legam should be giving him lessons instead of Alistair...

Yeah, girly's never been my thing. My college roommate, however, is really, really good at drawing girly and cute things. She's also really good at drawing creepy, freakish monsters she makes up out of nowhere. It's an odd combo, but it's one reason I LOVE her artwork. Yes, I'm shamlessly plugging her. She deserves it.

Glad I pulled off the look of the period styles though, since I did bother to look up references.

I think most mature women realize that the average man isn't anything like the Hollywood ideal (just like most women aren't, either), and that there's nothing wrong with it. Everyone's going to have different tastes, of course (and mine are far from mainstream American, especially since I find blond hair and bodybuilder types rather unattractive), but if someone places virtually everything on "good" looks... Chances are they aren't worth the time, anyway. But that's just my two coppers.

XD Legam's not much of a drinker, really. He'll have the occasional ale or wine at events, but that's usually it. He also drank Oghren's brew in the game, because he knew it meant a lot to the dwarf... It knocked him out cold:

As for the belly scratching... That might be my favorite part. I'm quite proud of his hand, especially since I drew it in pen and didn't have the luxury of erasing and fixing errors like I can with pencil/Photoshop.

They do have some crazy powers, I admit. I'm one of those women who doesn't like to flaunt said powers, though. Dark t-shirts and high collars for me. :P

Ha, thanks. They really weren't easy to do. Took a while drawing those dresses and hair - especially the transparent lace... things... on Leliana in the second picture. But that had more to do with Flash layers and how they work rather than the dress itself...

How about "B" for "Barking"? Because I barked out loud in laughter when I read that line. I'm just glad no one else is home right now/I live in the basement, so my family doesn't wonder what the hell's going on down here.

Perhaps. :D Leliana's only caught Legam in thinking gutter thoughts a few times, and they've never distracted him in combat. But as I said, he's a mage and so he probably has a naturally higher willpower than Aedan in some regards.

ROFL!  That has to be the funniest scene in the game - the warden passing out cold from drinking Oghren's nasty ale. Posted Image  Haha!  I have never gotten that before.  Darn.  Do you have to play as a guy to get that?  Maybe I just need to give Oghren some more gifts or something.

No, you can be a woman too. You just have to have Oghren in the friendly zone and he'll eventually make the offer at camp.

You don't automatically pass out, either - it depends on your constitution score. Legam's was... 11 or 12, so he never stood a chance.

EDIT : Ninja'd by DRPosted Image

You need a fairly high approval as far as I remember and depending of your character skills you either fall out flat drunk as a possum or you stand your ground. It's even funnier if you heard the Zevran/Oghren banter about Oghren's brew.

I can definitly see Legam and Alistair going on a rampage after one glass of champagne in the post- victory celebrationPosted Image.

Oh okay.  I don't know why, but I've never gotten Oghren's approval very high.  I give him ale and any alcohol I can find in the game, but it never really gives me more than 1 or 2 points of approval.  I killed his wife, maybe that's the reason.  Posted Image

I can too! At least, I could if Leliana didn't already drag Legam off for their own private celebrations. ;)

No, that's not it. I always kill Branka myself. It took me a few plays to figure out how to raise Oghren's approval, then I found a few key things: Talk to him often, show concern for his mood (even though he gripes at you for it, you get approval). Take him to some of the major fights, like the cult Dragon. Oghren always approves of fights. Also, having him be one of the ones to rescue you at Fort Drakon gains a pretty good approval bump.

Oh, yay!  Thanks.Posted Image  I'll try that.  I usually don't take him with me, except the Deep Roads of course, so I didn't know there were fights that won his approval.  I guess I need to bring him with me more often, LOL.

BTW, I love the Leliana picture.  Can't wait to see the montage when it's done.

Yeah, Oghren needs to be with you to get a good deal of his approval. He doesn't usually like compromises/lots of talking, but enjoys it when the Warden cuts to the chase. I wouldn't recommend him for the Dalish quests if you plan on patching things up between them and the werewolves. He disapproves of sparing Zatherian.

It's going to take a while. I still have... Seven more to draw, then I got to shade/do backgrounds... Then I have to combine them all... And then I have to do the lower half of the work. It's actually part of a big comic page (without any dialogue).

Even though I won't get to the drawing related to it for another two or three sketches, I just wanted to publicly thank Olwaye for translating some things into French for me that I'll be using for the montage. You're awesome, ser. <3

This was drawn in pen during my brother's taekwando class without any references, so apologies for anatomy/costume errors. :pinched:

XD This is in reference to a banter conversation between Wynne and Leliana that differs depending on if you have Oghren recruited or not. If you get it before you get Oghren, Wynne and Leliana talk about spell casting and the Maker granting everyone different kinds of gifts.

Leliana ends it with a story about how one Orlesian woman could tie a knot in a cherry stem using her tongue. She then remarks that all the men loved seeing this trick from some reason, though her tone doesn't imply one way or the other if she understands the connontations. Wynne obviously does, as she sounds a bit at a loss for words.

I figured this talent could be handy for either gender though, and since mages have to vocalize spells so much, why wouldn't they have great control over their tongues? ;)

I imagine if this actually happened, it would be while Legam and Leliana were still just friends, not lovers yet. The poor boy remains oblivious to sexual undertones and double-meanings.

I have no idea what's up with me and the current trend of veiled oral sex jokes.

For reference, I just had this scene with my FHN 2H warrior last night. She had 22 constitution and STILL passed out from Oghren's brew. It's strong stuff!

For Oghren, make sure you do his personal quest too. It's very easy.

Oghren at +100 at endgame gives a phenomenal, very heartfelt speech. I found it one of the most touching endgame speeches, actually, so I'm not shocked he's back in Awakening.

His personal quest helps a lot, of course.

You actually get that lovely speech as long as he's at the top of Friendly: +90 - above will do it. He was around +93 the first time I heard it.

Fourth one base colored. Yes, I realize the blood splatter is rather "conveniently" placed. I did that more for the fact I'm posting it on the forums and didn't feel like making a preview image for a WIP. The final product may or may have the blood moved around. As it stands, I'm not going to worry about mature content warnings for there being partially visible nipples. Peh.

He's some random Orlesian man. Whether he's simply a target for her information extracting skills or for assassination is left to viewer interpretation.

xD I don't think Legam would be offended, as he doesn't consider himself "hot" and would be uncomfortable at others implying such to him.

It's probably going to be a lot smaller in the final version, as the montage part is only about one-half the page of the final product. Who knows? Maybe I'll make the file size huge so the details of the montage will be easier to see. Either way, it will be at least somewhat smaller than it is now.

I'm somewhat surprised the cherry stem doodle hasn't gotten any comments yet. Probably because the boys aren't here.

My God... Leliana with long hair dressed up sort of 17th-18th century-style (my favorite time periods)...

I'm in love. Again.

Edit: Pffthahahaha at the Legam drinking Oghren's ale. Taiyama did the same thing and ended up on the floor too. He's just as much a teetotaler. I laughed my butt off at that scene.
