Done. Far from perfect, but I'm satisfied enough for what I was trying to go for, especially with his beard and mustache. Click for full view; there's a lot of detail lost on the shrunken size.

Was suffering from a bit of an art block, then I got yet another short comic idea. Doodled out a rough composition. Don't know if I'll finish the real thing tonight or not:

Manage to get a quick BSN sneak peek between job and flat hunting, I had to see the finish "remembrence" work

It's looks geat, the composition is full of strength and the final hug just bring that touch of sweetness. And again you prove that you are a great storyteller not only with words but with pictures as well.

"real" looking Legam also looks good, at least we can be hit by the full epicness of his floppy ears-legendary beard combo

I commented on this comic on deviantart, but I just want to point out that the way that Legam delivers that last line with a straight face and in an almost scientific fashion (with the whole "addendum:" thing) is really what sells it for me.

@Taiyama: I'm a fan of deadpan humor, can you tell? I love his face there too, but I think I might actually like the doodle rough version even more. If I wasn't so attached to my current avatar of him, I'd be tempted to change it to that. XD

Blargh, I just realized that my last post's last two sentences were incredibly redundant. They were also redundant. 'S what I get for looking away from the post for a while to do something else before finishing. Edited.

And yes, I adore deadpan humor too. The doodle is rather hilarious too, though.

I can oftentimes be redundant in my speech/writing too oftentimes.

Deadpanning, wordplay, and certain kinds of absurdist humor are probably my favorite kinds of comedy.

Legam picture: Although his left eye is still a bit to big, it does make him look a lot more like a dork (in a good way).


Comic: Is Leliana Imoen's naughtier twin sister or something?  I like the fact that this comic contains little text and that most of the facial expressions speak for themselves. Most comics I see on the internet are often nothing more than fanfiction with pictures. I would almost call this comic  kind of mr. Bean-esque. (no dialogue, but visual).

Many of you who follow this thread know I'm not the only big Leliana fan who creates fiction based around the Orlesian bard and a male Warden. Taiyama and Sisimka also have their own tales with her. So, for laughs, here's our three boys fighting over her:


Sisi - I put Aedan on his knees/lower because I figure he's the one most likely to try and get his head closest to Leli's bosom. XD

EDIT: @Apophis: His eyes were actually the exact same size (copied the boundries of one and moved it to the other side), but I had to trim it because it looked too large. I'm not really worried about it; my main focus was his skin and hair for painting technique, and I'm pretty happy with those.

It's fun to tell a story with mostly/just visuals. It's one reason why I didn't put any dialogue in my contest piece. I think it worked better without it.

As for the posts, I think it's simply because I respond back more often/frequently than Aimo does (unlike me, she actually has a job, and therefore less tomfoolery time, I'm sure. ). That, and I update more often. Hardly has anything to do with popularity. She's definately got me there. But that's okay. I've been following her artwork for years. She deserves every bit of attention she gets, here and on every other site she's active on.

Bahahaha, I love this so much. I can just imagine it going down as Taiyama and Legam freezing each other while Aeden ducks, gropes Leliana, and ends up winning by default. Instant save to My Pictures, this. I'm glad you put it on deviantart so I could favorite it there too.
