Yeah, I didn't much care for the companion approval/dialogue set up either. Did like the characters, though. Especially Anders.

Changed my mind, in the end they mention Leliana in a way for the warden to have participated in Vigil's Keep. Phew! I thought they just dropped her all together.

Naw, David Gaider had said before Awakening came out that romances would be acknowledged in some way. I figured it wouldn't be much, but it was still better than nothing at all. Luckily for me, it actually all fits in rather well for what I already had in store for Legam. Woot!
@Taiyama - Heheh, Anders was awesome. Especially him and Sir Pounce-a-lot. xD I wonder if Sheryl was behind that one or not.

My favorite character was Justice, to witness a spirit from the Fade's reaction to Mortal world is pretty awesome although once mods come out to redo him I'll totally grabem I didn't like the emaciated look they gave him. A helmet suits his looks for me kinda like Master Chief.
Ohgren was a fresh reminder of Origins but I kinda felt like yelling at him for joining the wardens, and to find out why in the first place makes me more pissed off that he did it.
Velanna was a bit of a waste, Anders already for me was a healer and such so I never needed her. I wish instead of Velanna they had Mhairi, I needed another warrior.
But yeah, wish I had Shale through the story as well, her tank status would've helped alot against the mother boss fight.

Even though this is a spoilers-allowed forum, let's try to avoid too much open info on here, okay Spartan? I know for a fact at least a few people who follow this topic haven't finished or gotten Awakening yet. You can PM me if you want to discuss Awakening details.

I try my best to be vague, just somethings kinda have to be said a bit to be explained, but thats the end of my tangent spree anyways back to your art/fictions.

Trust me, while fairly vague, there's enough in there to spoil some peeps. You might want to edit the post. Call me overly cautious. xD;
As for fan art... I have a piece I'm about to start on. Will try to have it up later tonight.

Ser Pouncealot is indeed very awesome. Did you know that he's an item you can use? Use it while Anders is in your party and he'll talk with the kitty. It's adorable.

Yes, I did notice that. It amused me to no end, especially since I'm a cat person with two fat, lazy kitties of my own.

Finally, I have some more fan art for you guys. The aforementioned meme is to blame for inspiring me again, but this time it was a sweet entry, so the picture's more sentimental. No actual explicit parts, but still likely NSFW.

As I said on deviantART, this is... what? The fifth or so time I've drawn them and their first night together? I don't know what makes me keep coming back to it as a subject, but my bawdy humor aside, I do like drawing the more intimate and sentimental moments. This time around, I figured Leliana should be in more of a... Hrm, "leading position" as it were, as it's more likely with them, Legam being as inexperienced as he is.
I also did one more thing new this time around - scars on Leliana. A few others' fan arts and fiction have included mention/depiction of scars on her, which, when I think about it, makes sense - she was tortured, after all. Dunno if I'll stick to drawing them like this or at all again; currently just playing around with the concept.
This is also the closest I've drawn them to kissing on the lips. One of these days I'll actually get there, heh.

Heck to get this thing with the first night out of your hair, do a comic, thats what I usually do to get some art idea out of my mind. Which is what I'm doing with Leliana lol.

Posté 19 mars 2010 - 07:05
Doesn't work that way for me. I draw a comic on a regular basis, so it's a different process for me. Besides, I reserve comics for very specific ideas. Like the next fan art idea I have...

Believe it or not, I'm working on something with Legam that does not involve Leliana. Don't know if I'll finish it tonight, but I'll post a WIP image before I go to bed if I don't complete it.

oh no! a shoe without its partner! heck Legam without Leliana is till good your guy love with Alistair is an example lol.

Well, technically, Leliana appears at the end of that. xD She doesn't show up in this one. That's only happened in maybe three other pictures out of... Uh... How many Legam-related fan arts have I done now? xD

Finished. Click to full view:

XD Legam's not much of a warrior, eh? To be fair, he does harden up in combat eventually (mostly after Ostagar), though he never likes engaging in it if he has a choice.
However, this isn't actually too far off the mark from him, pre-Ostagar. I did in fact take roleplaying to the point where I'd run around in circle in combat on the screen sometimes, or run away from enemies and let the sword-swingers do all the work. xD
Hey, I figure someone as soft-hearted and (at least relatively) sheltered in the Tower as Legam would have some cold feet in combat, even after the Harrowing... Which he got through mostly by wit rather than brawn, anyway.
Poor boy, I love to pick on him so...

xD Have to fish out one of my old saves first. Might take a bit. Hm...
Edit: Uploaded. Though YouTube says it's still being processed, which makes the quality lower. It does, eck. If it's still kinda bad-encoding looking when I get up later, I'll just upload it to my own sever.
For the record in the video: I can run around in circles much more effectively with a controller than I can a mouse and keyboard, so I didn't do literal circles as much in this video as I did in my first Xbox plays. Also, I used cheats to level Legam up early on, because after four plays through, I'm not interested in doing more level crunching. That's why he has some higher spells here than normal. Besides, if the mage origin is supposed to be a sort of adept like the game makes it sound, I figure you'd have more than four or so spells while at Ostagar.
And yes - Legam did freeze most of his party and only two darkspawn by accident in the video. He's that panicky.

Cute comic! My female mage was much braver than poor Legam. As soon as she had the strength to lift a sword she enjoyed wading into the thick of things and swinging away just as much as she liked throwing spells from the sidelines. She was the more bloodthirsty sort.
Teran (conflicted mage) is the run around in a circle screaming sort of mage. He has a different set of spells and seems to draw an unwarranted amount of aggro!
