Shoot anyone who thinks that has not spent enough time around women. Hell some of you are worse then us and I cite this board as my scientific evidence.

It's good evidence. :innocent:

As for a title, how about "The Burlesque Tales of Legam". Sure, burlesque isn't the ideal word but it rolls of the tongue nice and I'm sure you'll stick in a few moments worthy of the title.

Eh.... I don't think I want his name in the title. *Shrug* I already use "Tales of ..." in my webcomic's title, and I'd prefer to come up with something shorter and catchier. Not to mention "Burlesque," while a fine word, doesn't roll off the tongue for me and just doesn't suit most of the short stories I have in mind.

I appreciate the effort to help come up with something, though. =]

You've got an excuse this time. It was over PM.

You have one of those "Lamppost Licker" sig images and you're worrying people might think you've got a ribald streak from introducing others to the meme? xD

Edit @ Sisi: Some of us know certain ones. But lucky for you, we're not talking.

No but I'm sure everyone knows which ones I've drawn! Kind of hard not to anon fail when you have a distinctive style about things.

Of course -I- know which ones you wrote.

Anyway, I feel I am talking too off topic here. Sorry!

But it's soooo cute. I need to make one for Nathaniel. **Sneaky Look**

Oh sure, make me actually put forth an effort. Alright, lets see you want it short and sweet, catchy, don't want to use the name, and these are all random little adventures. Anything else?

Which is exactly why I haven't drawn anything for it.

No, it's fine. We've strayed before and I don't currently have any new art done yet. Still trying to think of a title... Much thanks to Sisi for trying to help me through PMs, but I still got nothing. *Headdesk* :pinched:

 I meant I appreciated your effort before. You don't have to keep trying if you don't want to.

*Shrug* I dunno. It's partly why I'm stuck. I have no idea at the moment which shorts I'll actually include (only have two previously finished works), whether the mood will overall be humorous or angsty, fluffy or bawdy... Guh. I tend to like titles that relate to a central theme, so that's part of the issue.

As a frame of reference, I love Taiayama's title of "A Bond Forged in Fire" for his Surana/Leliana series.

No suggestions, huh?

It would be funny if you could make the title a parody of another famous piece of fiction.

Could be, but I wouldn't know where to start. There's a lot of great literature with good titles.

Forgot to ask; are these stories about Legam/Leliana or Legam's life at the Circle tower?

Legam in general; would sometimes include Leliana (knowing me though, most of them would end up involving her somehow...), but not all. Two of the shorts are already posted on here - the Comfort Fail and He Got the Hint pictures/stories.

DR, do you have a particular theme/emotion in mind when you think of your series?

I suck at titles, just so you know, but I've found some success recently with my fanfics. "An Opaque Mirror" came out of the theme of "future" and googling quotes that had to do with "future". Then I saw that phrase in a quote and grabbed it.

"Merely Players" is a reference to Shakespeare's As You Like It: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women on it merely players." It came out of the theme of "auditions" that I started with the first story.

Just some thoughts.

It will be a late night at work today, I'll think of something for your title.
And as for your exchange of posts a bit higher, ladies, let me tell you, you all gonna be in my next bawdy songImage IPB.

Nope. One reason why coming up with a title is so hard right now.

Bah... For now, I'm going to work on that nickname picture. Today's just been "one of those days." Maybe some humor in drawing that idea will lighten my mood/help clear my muse. Then I can leave poor Sisi alone with my PM grumblings. XD;

As far as Legam is concerned, you could not go wrong with titles like

If those ears could talk or Journey of a softie

Image IPB

I know, I know, this is not helping, just couldn't resist

... I actually kinda like "Journey of a Softie" despite my avoidance of "journey of/tales of/etc." xD Probably a tad too silly if I end up doing more serious chapters, though. Hm.

So if you are not sure of the theme of your stories, the title has to be about Legam.
Concerning him I always found, there is a bittersweet quality to him as he is always strugling against fate with the best of heart, from being separated from his parents because of his abilities to becoming a Warden, and on the way he did gain a few nice things. I think "Magic and loss" would suits him well, magic for the fact that he is a mage ( "Gee, Olwaye, how do you get such brilliant idea ? Experience, Pinky, experience") and for all the "good" things that happens to him and loss, well ne need to explain that one.

Did I spot a Pinky and the Brain reference there?

Hm... on its own, I don't know if "Magic and Loss" quite works, but... I think it's on the right track. Perhaps a different way of saying something similar? I'll have to think about it. Moreso after I finish coloring this nickname piece, which is mostly done, save for the dialogue.

Poit! Pinky and the Brain is a show I really liked, narf!

Yeah Magic and Loss is not totally spot on, I was more musing aloud (so to writeImage IPB), The notions of Clair obscur or bitter sweet does fit Legam personnal story I think, so something along those lines could work.

I'm told by some that I do a very good Pinky impression.

Like I said, it's on the right track. It's much further than I've made it all day. xD
