You totally know Leliana would nickname Legam's "mage's staff" embarrassing things. XD
And yes, that is a Futurama reference. Partly because I couldn't think of a good nickname on my own that was disgustingly cute sounding, and partly because I love that show.

In the words of the great professor Farnswoth "Good news everyone! DalishRanger has made a new hilarious comic"

Does that count as a comic? I'm not sure. Oh well, as long as people find it amusing, I don't care how it's categorized. xD

You just enjoy making Legam feel bad, don't you? Image IPB

Feel bad? Not quite. I just enjoy drawing him mortified, especially if he's blushing. It's amusing. xD

I for one think "Schmooples" is a fantastic name. If for no other reason than it's so ridiculous it's hilarious/awesome.

That was one funny comic, if somewhat mean on poor Legam. Oh what the heck! :D

Whew... Been out all day on errands with the folks, and I have more theatre volunteering this evening. So, while there's no new artwork at the moment or in the works just yet, I'd like to temporarily derail the thread with a little bit of vainity: I got new glasses!:

Image IPB

They're transition lenses. Still getting used to not having to use clip-ons. Also, the shape is narrower than my old ones, so I'm still adjusting to that as well.

And yup, that's my computer aka workstation in the background.

... I wonder if I'm one of the people who looks least like their avatar - at least for someone who uses humans from DA. Hm.

Nice workstation you got a double screen set up >:o But I guess my screen is good enough (27 inch XD)

I've had transitioning Lenses for about 3 years now, A bit annoying on speed but still worth it I guess. But recently I've converted over to contacts. (They are a god send (maker send)) My prescription is so bad though that they can't have different colors for the contacts... darn I wanted crystal ice blue eyes.

Image IPB

I look most like my character XO. Except for the soul patch since for some reason my beard denies to grow there but everywhere else including sideburns grow out in 3 days and then I have to shave again.

Anyways beware with Transitions they seem to make any dirty part of the glasses stand out alot more and it can get annoying sometimes when your drawing on the computer.

P.S. My damn wisdom teeth cause me to usually smile with my tongue and teeth. Luckily I'm getting them cut out near my Birthday (Oh the splendid timing!)

Heheh, I love my dual monitors. I'll never go back to single screen again.

I was very reluctant to go to transition, but my dad finally talked me into it. My only complaint with them so far is that they don't transition fast enough in bright Southern daylight - and my eyes are VERY light sensitive. Otherwise, I'm fine with them.

I tried contacts a few years back, didn't like them. I have slight astigmatism in my left eye, which makes contacts difficult, even with contacts made for them. In fact, the only contact that will fit in that eye isn't the right prescription, so my eyesight can never be as good with contacts as they are with glasses. And I never got the hang of putting them in. Too much hassle, and I love my glasses anyway. The contacts were only meant for rainy days and costumes when I had face paint on.

My wisdom teeth were taken out... About eight years ago. I've had... Eight or so teeth pulled/cut out of me in my life, because there's not enough room in my mouth for them. I also had one of my front teeth knocked out by a tennis racket when I was a kid, though it got put back in.

Heheheh. I don't need colored contacts to make my eyes bright blue. They are that color naturally:

... No, I don't like serious photos of me. That one (sans info on the board, which was for deviantART), was part of a school poster.

Worrying about titles later (will probably do at least a temporary one along the lines of Olwaye's suggestions if I need something soon), but I have a list of short story ideas ready. However, I'm not sure which to do first (I know, I know... I'm horribly indecisive lately, aren't I?). So, I'm sharing the basic ideas with you guys to see what your preferences are.

Keep in mind I'd likely have at least one illustration to go with each story, and that I would like to do most, if not all of these stories eventually; I just don't know which to do first. Also please note that not all of these would be completely, if at all, from a narrative favoring Legam's perspective, but they would all involve him in some
way:

  • Early life with parents in Denerim and/or how his magical ability was discovered
  • Leliana's scars
  • Battle at Ostagar and/or first trip into the Kocari Wilds
  • Companion interactions - one of each (i.e. this is actually a sort of 10-in-1; what each companion thinks of/interacts with Legam. Like a brief situation with each that illustrates their dynamics)
  • Return after Awakening
  • The Harrowing
  • Leliana and Zevran discussion (won't say more other than it's one of my less serious, amusing ideas)
  • Gifts/shopping
  • Finding dwarf!Jowan in the Deep Roads
  • A short or two about d!Jowan and his relationship with his
adoptive parents. Likely something light/humorous, possibly related to
    training/teaching or fooling around

ARGH.

I'm a bit tense right now, to put it mildly. I was starting to work on one of my drawing ideas, when Flash locked up. Like, really, really locked up. I had to do a cold restart.

And now, the hard drive I do all of my fan art on suddenly decided not to be detected on my computer. It should be noted nothing on there has been back up since January (I REALLY need to remember to set auto backups for drives other than just my main). I re-partitioned the drive, but my computer tells me it needs to be intialized. So I do that, and then re-assign its drive letter. Now it's formatting the drive.

Like it's a new drive. It's been going for a few minutes, so I'm not sure if it's just wiping everything from that drive. I have years of work on there, but thankfully those are backed up. However, if it is wiping this drive, I'm about to lose three months worth of artwork. I can recover the webfiles from here and deviantART, but the original, .psd, high res versions used for editing will be lost forever. Oh, and any fiction I wrote past December would be lost too. That's easier to recover in some ways, but I did take some notes for ideas recently, as well as a list of challenge prompts for Maker's Breath that I'll have to redo if this stupid drive wiped.

Argh. Out of all the drives to fail, this was the second or third worst one to do so. Considering I have about 7 drives, that is saying something. ARGH. Why couldn't the drive with like... 2 GB of barely touched stuff fail instead? :crying:

I don't know. It's still formatting, but the "100% free space" under the drive isn't very encouraging. I think I might cry for real.

:crying: At least we have plenty of spare drives so I can easily replace it if the formatting doesn't go well, but... I don't know if I'd feel like cracking open the PC right now. Especially since I can't remember which of the three 160 GB drives this one is placed at. Sigh. Not sure where I'll save things in the mean time; I have plenty of space, but I'm not sure which drive would work best as a "temporary" solution.

I should be heading to bed soon at this hour, but I know I won't be able to sleep until I've tinkered with this more. UGH.
