Was I supposed to click on the Harry Potter fan fiction link?

*is now scarred for life*.

No, I just said to read our posts - specifically Sheryl teasing me about my Leliana fan art. The HP thing's on your own head. xD

Pffthahahahaha. Well, awesome that the writer of Leliana herself noticed your artwork!

And I'm very glad I didn't let my morbid curiosity convince me to click the links to that fanfiction. DobbyxTrousers? What the &%^@?! HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?!

*weeps quietly in the corner*

I'll never be able to read Harry Potter again.

Edited to add: It's awesome that she's looking at your art though. Everyone should!:wizard:

I've chatted with Sheryl on Smecks and Beer before (she's awesome, but then everybody there is), but I never really thought she'd bother to look over here. It's both flattering and mortifying at once, especially since I realize she could be reading this sentence right now.

EDIT: Aw, thank you Miri. That's kind of you. =]

(Don't read the sentence below if you don't want to know:)

The pants are a masturbatory aid.

Ohohohoho, don't think this is over... I will have my revenge!

...

Ok, not really, I'm far too lazy to do something like that...so you're safe.

OR ARE YOU?!

Actually, yes, you are.

OR ARE YOU?!

~ad infinitum.

And it's responses like that that make you one of my favorite people on this site, along with a few others - they know who they are. :D

Also - saw your recent fiction on here and Maker's Breath. Have read part of it and will comment within the week. I'm working on my challenge entry for Maker's Breath, so sometime when that's done or when I'm taking a break.

Aw, thanks. That made my day...all five minutes that are left of it technically. :P But seriously, thank you.

Glad to know you're reading it, at least. I'm honestly not sure whether I'm happy with it or not now that I think about it. God knows my writing style needs a LOOOOOOOT of work, so be sure to have criticisms ready (if you find any, that is) when you're done.

Wow, young Greagoir looks really great in that last picture! Amazing work. :)

@Taiyama:
:)

I will. That's why I'm going to wait until I'm done or taking a break from my entry (it's four comic pages long) - so I can fully focus on it and see if there's anything in particular that needs critiquing, since I know you're striving to improve.

@Umanix:
Heh, thank you. I was hoping to get some responses about younger Greagoir. He was fun to draw! Except the armor. That got a little tedious after a while.

Thanks. I've found that I'm a very good idea guy, especially in worldbuilding--I have an entire world of Io thought up in my head that's going to be a basis for future stories, and I have it thought down to cultural minutiae like migration patterns, religions, etc. I'm good with character building and dialogue too. I suppose that would probably make me a good video game writer...'s a potential career option to look into. Anyway, my major flaw is finding the right words to accurately convey the scenes I imagine in my head. Strange considering I'm usually so verbose but it seems like something that only practice will iron out. So if you want to focus on a particular part to criticize, I'd like you to focus on that, please.

I've done similar too. Even been acknowledged for it in a magazine (Issue #144, October 2008 on the list).

I actually struggle a lot with that too, and it's one reason I draw FAR more often than I write. And you're right - it just takes practice. Of course, reading a lot and seeing how other writers construct things also helps.

Focus I shall, my friend.

Argh, you know, I totally forgot that you do that comic! I had meant to start reading it earlier but I totally forgot about it. I bookmarked it now, though, so when I get free time I'll start reading.

You know, I've noticed that my writing ability has kind of dropped since I completely switched from reading fiction to nonfiction books. I should probably strike a better balance--maybe a 1:1 ratio?

*Laughs* Don't feel bad, I never pushed it on you. I'm always happy when people on here are interested in it and want to check it out, but I don't force it on them. It's far from perfect, and while I'm proud of it, I go to this site mainly to enjoy being a Bioware fan, not to peddle my original works.

Maybe? I'm not sure which I read more, as I enjoy both greatly.

You've got some talent there, that's for sure. You have a knack for finding the given feeling of a situation and then turning that from words into a visible display, you impress me.

Keep up the great work, this is yet ANOTHER thread I've become attached to...great. Heh.

Aw, thank you very much Ferreus. You're too kind. :)

I'm currently working on a 4-page comic, but it's probably going to be a Maker's Breath post only. I'll try to do something afterwards to post here to make up for that. Maybe draw my Dalish again for once. I know there's at least one person who's wanted to see me draw him again.

Note to Maker's Breath Members: I posted up my April challenge art on the community, so check it out if you want to see it. You have to be logged in to see the post. And no, I'm not posting it here. :P

Hmm... for some reason I'd love to see a wedding of Legam and Leliana (if they ever did?)

Unless, Leliana to you wouldn't be the type of girl to wed, thinking it might ruin their love/relationship?

No, he proposed to her before and she accepted. I've just yet to draw an actual wedding scene for them, though I've considered it before.

Ah yes, the yet again awkward but special moment that Legam seems to always have with her. But yeah I would love to see their wedding and how their attire would look.

Knowing the idea of my Cogdale's wedding with her is nearly impossible for me to illustrate SmaiLika07 accepted doing it for me which is an honor in itself I would expect to pay her for her incredible art of hers.

Hopefully during their wedding nothing else embarrassing happens to them XD

I'm not the best with fancy attire, which is one reason I've been holding off on a wedding picture. But it is one of the ones that's been on my to-do list. As I think I said before, I might draw Fasais again next, first. He was my first Warden after all, and I've only drawn him twice.

I don't think I've seen her art...?

xD Nah, I DO give Legam breaks here and there. Nothing crazy during their wedding.

SmaiLika07 is amazing - check out her Leliana.

I'd love to see a wedding between Legam and Leliana. I love weddings. Wish I could get married all over again myself :).

Yeah her Leliana drawings are absolutely amazing
Heres another

Thats why I asked her if she would do the wedding scene between my Cogdale and Leliana.
All she asked was description and a little Sketch from me and she put me in her vast list of other pieces to do. But I'm not going to be impatient with her, shes the one taking up the task of doing the picture.

I basically came up with a custom gown and suit for the both of my Cogdale and Leliana and a bit of the story within her attire. Her wedding gown is a blue noble outfit but lighter and lined with Pearls and her hair is extremely long for the occasion (I know not Leliana like but for that special day she decides to grow it out) The story part of her attire is small rubies lining her eyes and cheeks. Which is what Cogdale compares her with, rubies.

If you ever want SmaiLika07 to do something for you, almost everything can help her get an idea, description, rough sketch, character's life/profile and also music which I found the most perfect song that sounds as if Leliana wrote it herself (Hania has a gifted voice) Cogdale's and Leliana's Wedding song?
