Oh, yeah - I have seen her work before. She does some nice partial painting/manip work.
I'm not saying "no" to the wedding idea, but it's on hold for some other stuff first. The comic I just finished is up on Maker's Breath (Leliana LJ fan comm) and tomorrow I have website work to do, so I might not get back to fan art for a few days.
@Spartan: Nah, I draw my own stuff and I'm happy with it. SmaiLka has plenty of talent and lovely work, no doubt, but her style doesn't really suit the stuff I imagine when it comes to Legam.

I agree that Smailika isn't right for Leli and Legam - that's what you're for!

Heh, true. I don't mind when other people try to draw him though - as long as I get to see it when they're done. I have a few favorites on deviantART that are Legam fan arts. It's kinda cool other people liked him enough to draw him. Spartan's one of them.

@Spartan:
To anyone who might be curious about the Legam fan art, and doesn't feel like digging through pages of this topic to find my links to them, my deviantART collection of them can be found here. Spartan and Sisi, TotoroTori all did some, but as far as I know, the others are deviantART members only, not on here. Could be wrong about that, though.
Also: if you go to that page, bask in the epic awesomeness that is my self-portrait avatar on deviantART. (i.e., this: [smilie]http://a.deviantart.net/avatars/h/o/hollychan.png[/smilie])

God your lucky with this huge community backing Holly... Hopefully some day "A Bard's Love" gets some following in the future. For now I'll be apart of your posse.

"Holly" is part of an old Monster Rancher handle, not my actual name. You can just call me DR or Dalish on here, Spartan.
As for my following... While it's nice, I never cease to be baffled that I've accumulated it. I just like to draw, and right now I draw lots of Dragon Age fan art. That so many people seem to be enjoying my stuff is both puzzling and flattering.

Thats because your art is easy on the eyes and enjoyable and the characters you create and help emulate seem real and not overpowered or "godmodded"

That's what she said.
Really, it is. In the post coronation, that is one of Leliana's responses.

A bit off topic, but wouldn't it be cool in future versions of the Eclipse Engine (DAO and Mass Effect use it) that when NPCs talk they're emotions also show on their tone of skin? Such as blushing and turning white when cold and other things.
I just think this up because I was reading through all the stuff again and since Legam blushes maybe to much for his health.

@Spartan: That would be pretty cool. Perhaps one day. As for Legam's blushing... Heh, he does do it a lot, doesn't he? But if his amount of blushing is unhealthy, then I should be hospitalized. While I don't get as flustered as Legam does about teasing and sex jokes, I flush often from heat, excitement (as in hyper/hanging with friends, you perves
) on almost a daily basis - and my flushing is at least as hard as his half the time, if not worse.
Also, got a new fan art for you guys. Leli and Legam are taking a short break so that I could do a piece I originally intended to do soon after I beat Dragon Age for the first time, back in November. Even though I draw Legam all the time, Faisais the Dalish rogue/ranger was my first Warden:

Finally did this because I really wanted to, and it's sort of a gift for a certain Morrigan fangirl buddy of mine. She knows who she is.
Anyway... Fasais romanced and did the ritual with Morrigan. After the archdemon died, he returned to his clan and respected Morrigan's decision to go off alone, much as it pained him to do so. I picture him as remaining loyal to his clan and doing his best to contribute to their society - including marrying and being lucky enough to produce one Dalish child. Morrigan is always in his heart, however - though this is NOT something he shares or admits to his clan.
She's much the same way (and yes, that is the God/Demon/whatever child playing in the background on her side). So, even though their paths diverted, they are still connected. Yup, even when doing Morrigan fan art I go sappy. Sue me.
It's late and I need sleep, so I'd best stop before I ramble more. G'night, folks.

I love this picture - you really can really feel the longing from both of them! And I think Fasais' wife has a sneaking suspicion that he's thinking about another woman...

It's just lovely and Miri's right, you can see the longing.
Really nice work!

Oh! be cool if you had him with his hand up and the ring she gave him on it, otherwise so enters another great fan fiction story if you ever decide to start on his.

Brilliant picture, DR!! Like others have said, there is a definite sense of longing and emotion in that scene. I'd wondered what had happened to your original Dalish character.

@Soignee: Out of curiosity, do you mean Mahariel/Morrigan in general, or mine specifically?
@Gilgamesh: Thank you.
As for his wife, she knows there's something he misses from his Warden days, but he never speaks to her about it. She allows him this privacy though, as he's very dedicated to her and their son other than these occasional moments of distance.
@Spartan: The ring she gave him is already in the picture; that's not a necklace he's wearing, it's Morrigan's ring on a cord.
While it's nice to see interest in my writing, I have no desire to write more fanfiction other than more Legam shorts at some point. Fan art comes to me a lot easier/is more fun for me. I prefer telling stories with pictures, not words.
@Maximus: Thanks.
Fasais took a backseat to Legam, especially since I've only played him all the way through DA:O once, but used Legam about... Uh... Five times now, I think? I tend to focus on one character and stick with them in games.
@Gilgamesh: Thank you.

Mahariel/Morrigan generally! It just seems to work for me, they both have a mutual ground to stand on.
It's an OTP in my screwy head (Brosca/Zevran is another, so is Alistair/Aeducan and Leliana/Cousland). and I know we all have very different OTPs when we play the game, and mileage does indeed vary.
Art is top notch as usual
