LOL, I too took it in High School. Took AP. And your grammar and mine sound the same. I get a little carried away with commas and sometimes awkward sentences. Vocabulary I did okay with too, but not now. I am losing it as Ich bin nuenunddreizig Jahre alt. : D Been a loooong time since High School German, and even longer since I lived there. I learned by watching a kids cartoon called "Beany Mia" about a bumble bee.

Nuenunddreizig, eh? Don't worry, you're still younger than Sisi. ;D
And since I know she'll see that at some point, I'm going to go ahead and add for her: Happy Mother's Day, you old dirty birdy. <3 Hope you, Mr. Sisi and the Sispawn all have a great day.

Of course, it is 'your' lawn...
And thank you, the Sisispawn is making me watch Pokemon and Mr. Sisi is banging around in the kitchen...

Working on a new piece, but Mondays are my comic book store hangout/taekwondo class/Castle watching days, so I might not get much done before I leave to show a proper WIP. We'll see.

I look forward to it, but I don't suppose you could leave a little snippet of what it will be?
On a side not, you do taekwondo as well? Same here! Which belt are you?

Rough sketch is done. Currently waiting for my iPod to finish charging before I go, so I'll start inking in Flash until that's done:

If you can't tell by the earbuds, yeah - I'm jumping a bit on the "Modern DA:O" fan art bandwagon that's been going around deviantART. Mostly because I want to draw Legam in glasses and khaki shorts.
@Maximus: Still white after five months, though my masters have bugged me to take the yellow belt test on and off for a few months now. I'm in no rush - I'm only taking it for the exercise.

Got to leave in a few minutes, so this is as far as I got:

Will have to draw his clothes and ink Leliana later.
Even though his chest hair will likely be all covered up, I'm not positive yet how high/low his shirt neckline will be, so I have the hair there in case it needs to be.
And yeah, Legam has hairy legs. Really, is anyone surprised?

Legam's pretty much done, aside from shading:

Leliana will have to wait until tomorrow-ish; I got to work on a Rune Master page.

Leliana's hair and body are done, but I still have to do her clothes:

I have to leave soon for a job networking thing, so I'll work on this more later.

Been doing job hunting related stuff and playing the Sims 3, so I finally just sat down to work on this again... And I'm stuck. I'm a jeans and t-shirts kind of gal, so I have NO idea what to do with Leliana's clothes yet, as I'm sure she'd be more concerned about style than me. Going to have to do some research, it seems. Whoo...

More WIP:

I'm not settled on the pattern yet for Leliana. Sheryl Chee was awesome enough to indulge my questions/requests for suggestions on attire for Leliana in a modern setting, as she's obviously got a much better sense for it than I would. So I'm still bugging her for her opinion on the clothes and going back and forth with ideas. Thanks for humoring me, Sheryl I appreciate it.

Annnd it's finally finished! Thanks again for helping me with Leliana's clothes, Sheryl. Your input was helpful and entertaining.

What song are they currently listening to? Just insert your favorite sappy song, though I personally like to think it's something along the lines of this or this.

Awwww...They're no longer supported by air! ;D
This came out GREAT! The look so happy in love (not to be confused with a Beyonce song XD) and at peace! And both of their outfits are just perfect: I LOVE the detail in both shirts! I also love how the books are sneaked in there -- Leg's SUCH a bookworm!

(Holy crap, that's the THIRD time you've posted on the forums now! Damn, I'm good. xD)
Nope, no air-seats. Sorry Fly. ;D
I don't normally like the static pattern look as it often feels out of place to me (It's partly why I can't watch Chowder, even though I do think it's funny), but I decided to give it a try here and I think I managed to pull it off well enough.
And yeah - Legam's a TOTAL bookworm, modern setting or not. xD

Been pretty quiet on here. Anyway, working on another piece, though I might just wait until it's fully finished to show, depending on how long it takes to do. Been playing a lot of The Sims 3 lately, though I think my mood for playing it is starting to pass. Tends to be how it goes.

Had to break from drawing to do some yardwork, but I've finally finished this piece:

I figured since I had done several works related to Legam and Leliana's first night together, why not do the last? Those of you who read Seasons of Love likely recognize what's going on, but for those who are confused: It's the night before Legam leaves for his Calling, making him 57 years old and Leliana about 60, hence the graying hair and his tears.
He knows he's leaving in the morning before anybody else wakes up - Leliana doesn't (that doesn't stop her from catching up with him later, though...) For those curious, the chapter relating to this can be found here.
Something bittersweet to offset the humor and complete fluff of (most) of my Dragon Age fan art, I suppose.

Regular viewers might recognize dwarf!Jowan, a casteless Legam and Leliana adopted in Seasons of Love. Today I draw them together to spread a message:
Leliana's voice actress, Corinne Kempa, is working on a short film about transracial adoption, titled "Zalika." An adoptee herself, this project is close to Corinne's heart, and she is currently raising funds to get the film going. You can find out more about the film itself here.
As part of a way to garner financial support, Corinne and Claudia Black (Morrigan's voice actress) have started a contest - those who donate to the film's funds can get a ticket to be entered into a random drawing. The winner gets a copy of Dragon Age: Origins signed by Claudia Black and/or Corinne Kempa themselves. You can read more on the contest here.
If you have some spare cash, I hope you can donate to the cause, whether for the film itself or for the contest. Though I have no personal investment in it, I am in full support of this film myself - as should be obvious by now from my artwork, I am a full supporter of interracial love (romantic, platonic, familial - any kind). Also, adoption is a subject very close to my heart too - my father was adopted, and I can think of few bonds as close as the one my dad shared with his father.
So, enough slightly preachy rambling. I hope you at least give the project/contest a closer look.

And they make a happy family group.

Oh, I LOVE this drawing! They all look so happy!
I don't have any experience with adoption myself (besides my mom jokingly claiming that I was adopted...That WAS a joke right? ...Mom? MOMMY???) but I'm a full supporter -- esp. of transracial adoption! I'll DEFINITELY support Corinne's film, however I can!
And...okay, YEAH: the contest sounds t'amazing as well! A signed copy of DAO by one of my two FAV VA's? SQUEE! XD

@Olwaye: Hey! You're back! Been busy yourself, I suppose? I actually feel like I've had nothing to do the past month or so, aside from PMing Sisi and Fly daily. Still don't have a regular job, but I've had some freelancing. Been going slow. And thanks for taking a look at the project!
@Sisi: Aw, thank you. I fiddled with her face forever and I'm still not 100% satisfied with how she looks, but I'm glad others seem happy with her. xD
@Fly:Holy crap you posted yet again - enough of that joke - Whoohoo! More support!
Though I had little doubt you'd be a supporter of the film too, from all our discussions. xD That, and I'm SURE the Claudia Black/Corinne Kempa signed DA:O copies would be tempting on their own for you.
EDIT: In unrelated news, a friend of mine linked me to something interesting - many of you know I graduated from college last fall, and I had to do artwork for a student exhibit as part of graduation. Well, my university did an article on it a while back, and while I was interviewed for it, I never saw the final result. Apparently, the article is online and I am one of the artists featured in it. Whoo! If you're curious, the article is here. I'm the one talking about visual storytelling (surprise, surprise).
