Thanks. I would love to do more fan art, and I have a speedpaint Shepard idea I would like to get around to soon. I also want to draw Legam again, but I'm kinda stripped of particular ideas I feel like doing at the moment. Ah well.

I haven't drawn him in a while, so here's Legam. Decided for a relative change of pace from the typical fluff and humor I usually do for him, so here's an actual badass moment for my favorite Rivaini mage: In the clutches of the Mother, but about to finish her off.

This was doodled in response to the recent news that Hawke's mother's maiden name is Amell. Though Bioware won't tell us if that means Hawke is related to the human mage Warden or not, I couldn't resist. xD

Doing a short series of my favorite Bioware PCs/couples, starting with the oldest and each with a theme I think applies to the pairing well. Kicking off with Baldur's Gate II: My NG half-elf ranger, Nimelian and the headstrong druid, Jaheira. Their theme is "comfort," which should make sense for anyone who's ever played BG2 with Jaheira in the party - romanced or not.

Finished with the second in the series. This time it's Bastila and Revan from KOTOR. Their theme is "banter" because my LS Revan loved to yank Bastila's chains. She made it so easy. XD

Derp. Forgot to add this to the topic a few days ago. Third in the series, Furious Ming and Dawn Star from Jade Empire. Their theme is "friendship" as they start out as best friends first.

@Tallon: XD It's even funnier to me now that we know Amell and Hawke are related in some way. Will certainly have an effect on how I design my first Hawke in DA2...

@Giggles: Heheh, glad you enjoyed.
@tallon: Indeed. I am very tempted to make my canon Hawke a mage too, but I'm going to play a rogue first time to balance out the party/adapt to the system. That may or may not become my official one. We'll see.

Got two pictures today, because I forgot to add my Ashley/Shepard pic I did last Wednesday. Whoops! Ash/Shep's theme is "Warriors" and Legam/Leliana's is "Confidants." This officially finishes up my Bioware Couples series. Whoo!

Except Shepard was created about 2-3 years before Legam; not to mention I don't think Armenian/Arabic/Berber men look particularly similar to men based off of various Western/central African ethnicities. But then again, I study race/ethnicity rather extensively and am used to paying attention to the subtleties. 

Guess this means I need to practice drawing Hasani Shepard better. People keep thinking he's black when I draw him, but not if I show the screenshot. D'oh.

With DA2 coming soon, I could no longer resist doing a rough draft of my first planned Hawke, Declan (and the one I'm using Legam's import for). Actually, I've done a draft before ages back, but I didn't like it. So I had another go with a quick doodle and I like this one much more. How close I can get him in-game, I'm not sure. I'm sure he'll be tweaked a bunch before the end, but it's a start.



Also, I'm going on the assumption that the Amell-Hawke relation is first-cousins. That's enough to be notable, but distant enough that both Legam and Declan could be part Rivaini, but the ancestry is thicker in Legam's side than Declan's. About 3/4 vs 1/4, hence Declan looking more Ferelden. Yes, I do overthink these kinds of details.







Also - planning on Declan being a cynical, smartass dual wielding rogue; probably going to romance Isabela and be great buddies with Varric, by the looks of it. But we'll wait and see if it actually plays out that way in March.

More DA2 anticipatory art of Declan. I've decided I'll have him work up to the epic beard over the decade and start off with less facial hair. Definitely some Wesley (Princess Bride) influence here with a bit of Flynn from Tangled:
