Given how absolutely dodgy Bioware's been about basic game mechanics alone, I'm worried about this, as well.

here is an idea. Don't Buy the game on a last gen console UNTIL you see a you tube video of the game on the console of your choice. There problem solved.

If BW would just release couple screenshots or short gameplay there would be no need for waiting. They have shown it on all other platforms already.

Darn it! Why'd you have to go and give them the most logical answer?! lol jk In all seriousness though, he/she (seeing as the pic is a woman --I think-- but the name is more inclined towards a male) is right. It's not like they're keeping this under wraps until after launch or something. There are plenty of videos showing off the gameplay and plenty of reviews for the game, thus far.

Any wise gamer would do their research on the game, finding everything they can about it, and then decide if it's worth getting from day one. That or used or not get it at all. Gamers need to be smart about how they spend their money nowadays, because video games have gradually been getting more expensive.

Also, if you think about it, once a new console platform comes out, and it's been almost a year since the PS4 and Xbox One have, most video game advertisements will be focused on the new consoles instead of the old ones.

Its normal to focus on the new consoles, nobody said other thing different of that, but if you are developing for the old consoles too, at least show some screenshots, one video or so about that version. Anyway i guess you have an PS4 or xOne and have a lot of videos and info about your version so you can decide if you are gonna buy it or not xD

As one who still plays really rough-looking games like Fallout 3, Dragon Age Inquisition is going to look stellar on my PS3 to me anyway.

Waiting until after launch is logical except that I'm paying the same price as people who pre-ordered the game and getting less content. That on top of the already prevalent knowledge that the game I'm going to get is already not as impressive (and I don't necessarily mean graphics, I still play DAO and find the graphics pleasant enough) as what those same people is a little disheartening.

Exactly what Dan De'lion has just pointed out. Waiting until after the launch of the game means that off the bat, we will be receiving less content than those who paid the same price as us. We wouldn't need to wait until after launch if Bioware just communicated with us and shared information for the game on the last gen consoles. The fact that I had to grab the information that I did on the game from someone who isn't even affiliated with either Bioware or EA and how silent they are about it, and what the game may look like from a side to side comparison from Battlefield is concerning for those of us who do want to support Bioware and give them another chance.

I don't really care how bad the game looks. I just want to know.

The game looking like pudding won't stop me buying it. I just want to know what kind of pudding.

i dont know if this is a good or bad marketing strategy xD i have 8 friend who had pre-ordered the game like me for x360. yesterday, five of them said they had cancelled it (they have their xbox flashed), and they will download the game when its leaked. I know they buy a lot of games, but games they really like. They have a lot of burned games and as they said, if they wont have any info before release to preorder and have the extra things, there is a "small" difference between 60€ and 1€ for the same content. Im not defending them but i guess many other people will think alike about that besides mostly games were leaked before its release. i am reading on a backups web about dates of last games:

CoD Advanced Warfare: Release 11/04 - Leaked 10/29

Assassins Creed Rogue: Release 11/11 - Leaked 11/06

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015: Release 11/13 - Leaked 11/06

Digimon All Star Rumble: Release 11/14 - Leaked 11/06

Lego Batman 3: Release 11/14 - Leaked 11/08

Next-gen owners cant use backups at the moment but old-gen can, so i think it could be good to show it worths to buy the game even to people who has their console hacked, but this is my opinion and that i like the ass, everybody has one of it xD
