oh and PS- wish i had an XBONE for MCC too. i love halo. as far as the AC and ubi issues, i get it, thye are basically like madden games with a slight upgrade every year, but i have a great feeling about unity...

it has been in development for 4 years, its ONLY dev'd for next gen consoles, and i have a feelign it will be as good as AC 1 and 2 and have that "it" factor again.

but i do agree that even AC3 and black flag arent even that great and are very mediocre....

also wish i had XB1 for sunset overdrive.... i'm a huge infamous fan, and would love to play that one, looks like it has the same gaming vibe.

What is spazzcon?

I'm looking forward to Unity very much, but my card is below the minimum requirements so it'll probably run terribly. I think I'll do a single run of Unity, then move to DA I while waiting for Black Friday to roll around.

Edit: AC 4 was considered very good. I personally have enjoyed them all, but AC 4 in particular was considered a very good game.

Why negative feedback, related to Dragon Age reposted threads and any other things gets the nefarious DAMod02 visit while spam threads like these are still open? Why?

You could apply this to most publishers if you wanted to. EA more than most.

Dragon Age is the only EA published game I will buy. The rest of time I boycott EA as well.

This isn't spam. it's silly and not really related, but it isn't spam.

No. I played around two hours of AC3 and it didn't hold my attention at all, so I've never felt the need to go back or try other installments of the series.

I've still got Act 3 of my latest DA2 play (already finished the DLC) and I restarted ME3 this evening (with all the DLC) as an Engineer since I've never played one before. Hopefully that will keep me occupied enough for the next eight days.

Nope.  No interest in Unity due to the lack of competitive multiplayer.  The co-op looks incredibly dull and I don't like the series' singleplayer campaigns.  PvP was the saving grace of AC3.

i hope it will, but i'm already at spazzcon 5....

usually when a game like this is coming out before another i'm looking forward to just a little more, it helps.

but i have never thought so little about such a big game like Unity, because of DAI!!!

i hope when i grab ACU it will occupy my thoughts as well as my time until DAI.

hows about yoos???

There's no pirates in ACU

so I will not be playing it

The AC series kinda jumped the shark 3 games ago

Black Flag was a lot of fun in large part because it was only tangentially related to the series's lore which has become kind of a joke

Just finished my 2nd run at Last of Us on hard cause i never got trophy first time, held me breath when it completed an whooped when it came up lol, might do the NG+ dont know yet, got AC BF there but i dont hold out for it much, very very very disappointed in the games available for ps4 tbh, nothing there i particularly fancy, see what 2015 holds for it i guess but not very happy with my choice so far apart from Last of Us game.

i prob give Black Flag a try but nothing seems to be holding my attention very long the now, may end up just plugging the 360 back in least i got a good selection there i still to play, like dishonored, borderlands 1 n 2 and dark souls, might give them a try, i see

My hands are tied right now with my college work so there is plenty of things to keep me busy until the 17th for me.

Nah, I don't play Assassin's Dude: Dudeing around, or whatever. The same goes for Shadow of Mordor, and others like them. The interest I have in these games are as interesting as I found an old sock that have been lying on the street for two years.

But I managed to start and for a couple of hours play DAII, that's something. Didn't think I could play it one more time.

Out of the multitude of games releasing in the next week, GTAV (remake), AC,Farcry,Halo, I only have eyes for DAI. I will get and play AC up to release of DAI, and eventually GTA and Farcry as well sometime after, but with DAI and the multiplayer and then the witcher several months after, I am set for a long winters hibernation.

don't play assassins creed  :P

I was out of love with it after those two crappy spinoffs of the second game and even though I tried to play AC3 (used and very cheap) it just bored me and I had no further interest. I can't effectively play AC anyway, since my claw-like pincers and my chitinous exoskeleton make manipulating the controller difficult.

I've come to terms with the fact that any Assassin's Creed game I start will not be finished. Since I play games primarily for their stories, it's kind of a dealbreaker, so nah. Cool games, but apparently not for me... like most every game not made by BioWare, such as it were, ha.

Considering I'm not getting Unity, at least anytime soon, no it will not stop me from going to spazzzcon 5.

I don't play Assassin's Creed, so no. But I've been playing Advanced Warfare and either tomorrow or Tuesday will be Master Chief Collection day so I'll be content until Dragon Age.

I always accidentally read "Master Chief" as "Master Chef..."

I've been hyped for Unity ever since the leaked screenshots.

I just checked Steam on my laptop, and saw I can pre-load it. I'm now about to rush home to install it on my desktop.

ok, so i read many of your posts about a lack off faith in Ubisoft as well as any new AC game. and i COMPLETELY understand. but let me be a super swell, nice guy, devil's advocate and try and talk you in to trying out AC Unity at some point, granted no need now that we're almost 3//4 days away from DAI...

it is the first AC game they have spent more than 1 year working on for the 1st time in, oh prob since AC1 and AC2.

it really has simplified and reinvented parts of the wheel to make the game somewhat fresh.

yes it is having major tech issues on the consoles as of right now, not sure how it is on PC, but on PS4 i have bumped in to non threatening bugs at least one every 2 hours. some as small as people walking in the street and having half of their bodies "submerged" under the street. (happened as soon as i took control of Arno in the first few mins...) and a couple of issues climbing, but no big crashes or game ending bugs for me.

the game has new features that should have been introduced no less than 2 games ago (AC3), the major one is now holding Right Trigger and "circle on PS4" or " "B on XB1" controller allows a much necessary fast decent no matter how high your are on a building.

the city is enormous, in size//exploration wise, but also its the first time the game is an actual real life 1:1 scale!!!

you may ask what does this matter, and let me tell you, when you scale to the top for your first tall building, and look out across paris, you will be ion awe!!! which seemingly goes on forever, like skyrim, and you can go to about 75% of what you see (which is a ton believe me) but it does have to have a boundary.

the game has an awesome new system that allows for literally HUNDREDS of NPCs on the screen at once. why care? because skulking about matters again like it did in AC1!!! and there are some incredible scenes where someone is giving a speech and you are pushing through a crowd of 300 to get to your target, and then you can use that to your advantage once you've made your kill and quickly disappear back into that same crowd and make your way out of the search radius.

another thing is i feel Ubi really got the cops n robbers chase mechanic down perfect in this game!!!

its loads of fun for me to get in trouble and fight and then try to escape. and every assassin-y thing you do you get a sort of XP for...

made an escape? 100 creed points...

killed a dipshit from a rooftop? 11 creed points.

made a kill while in hiding? chris hardwick says "POINTS!!!"

not to mention there are 4  different currency systems!!!

one of them being the "creed" points previously noted. as well as your reg money, you get skill points from doing your missions which can in turn be used to buy skills from 4 diff skill paths. and theres a fourth currency i'm not sure what it does yet.

and i will try and finish up here but the coolest aspect is your weapon/gear system. its kinda like fable in that you buy stuff where/whenever you are, and each item immediately will look different on your character!!!

theres 1 handed weapons, swords daggers etc

theres 2 handed weapon, hammers glaives, pikes etc,

theres pistols,

theres rifles!!!

and each selection has 5 to 20 diff weapons to pick from about 50/60 all told!!!

same with your garb//armor, each piece does something diff for your stats, allowing you to tweak your own personal Arno any way you like for visuals and stats.

tweak him to be a super powerful co-op ally and give him great healing skills!!!

or focus on taking care of yourself and max out weapon damage and health!!!!

really, if you can put up with some rough early polish, the game has really been adjusted and recreated in a way i feel its worth jumping into the next gen experience...

really didnt mean to write such a big unruly review, but i'm bored waiting for DAI, and there it is.

cheers.

I bought Unity, but given how abominably long it is taking to download, I doubt I'll be start playing it before Inquisition drops. Of course, Inquisition will probably take a similar time to download...

I live in a vicious cycle where I buy every AC game, play it once or twice, then never touch it again.
