Bought ACU, but shelved it after only a few hours. Will try it again after my new video card gets here.
Will Assassins Creed Unity keep us from spazzcon 5 this week?

Bought it - thought it was kind of bad...will most likely give it to a friend.

been hearing horror stories of saves always being corrupt, constant restarts, spam for pay to win cluttering up everything, controls being unresponsive...yea not impressed.

here is totalbiscuts view on AC: unity. While I dissagree with him on a few points, his comments on the performance make me glad I didn't get it now. I am going to wait for it to go on sale steam.

It's a fun game but it feels like a big step back from Black Flag. Just past the halfway point (I just started Sequence 7) I'd give it a 7/10.
Outside of a glitch here and there I've been lucky enough to avoid most of the performance hassles. Running two 970s in SLI at 1440p, I can max the game out (minus AA, where I use FXAA) and get a pretty consistent 60-70 fps, with occasional dips to 48-52fps when running in the streets.

I loved the first Assassin's Creed game but haven't played anything else since. The way releases work for the next two weeks and my laptop having it's display replace, I may not get a chance to play DA: I anytime soon. Project Diva f2nd and Pokemon come out next week, Persona Q the week after. DA:I was already going to get limited play but then Sega gave a firm date for Project Diva so that screws up the time line majorly.

Despite having played all previous AC games, I had no real interest in Unity even before the mediocre reviews and reception. Although Black flag did liven it up a bit, the old AC formula has just gotten too worn out for me. That and I've stopped really caring about or following the story.

I've got two movies I can watch over and over if need be: How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Lego Movie.

I really dislike that series so my schedule is free. I'm not getting DA:I on launch though. I'll wait to see what you fine folks have to say about it before deciding for sure.

Played it; didn't like it. I liked AC3 and Black Flag, but ACU just fell on its face. This sucks, because as you can probably tell from my avatar I love that period in French history. I traded my copy for my friend's unopened copy so I could return it to Amazon.....

ACU is a mess, at least on PC.
