Always respected Angry Joe for keeping it real. This is good news.

Because no one likes dwarves of course.
Anyway, I really really hope he does an in depth review when the embargo lifts. He doesn't really know the lore as well as he should, but he does love the universe and he is passionate about it.
...and how well should he know the lore? Like you said, he's passionate about the game (as he is about games in general) but I don't think he needs to be an expert on the game's fiction to lend his opinion.
Either way, I'm interested to see what he thinks of the full game.

Am I the only person who is curious to see how things would have handled if you agreed to give Cassandra back your weapon?

I'm going to find out. She probably changes her mind.

How does this guy have close to two million subscribers? I despair at the internet sometimes. He's no PewDiePie at least.
I have met Angry Joe at various shows and cons. He is super down to earth and he seems humble too. May not change how you view his videos (your opinion is understood and is absolutely yours to have) but I figured I share. Took me awhile to "get into" his videos until I started to enjoy them as a review/comedy/entertainment kind of media.

I love this lol and it's so very true which is also why I can not watch anyone I know play any game ever . I tried watching a friend play dead island and she couldn't even keep the character looking straight ahead , was either the sky or the ground and dead dead dead dead dead dead dead . (silent raging screaming ) was me . I had to walk away

I love how both Cullen and Leliana + Inquisiton soldiers actually fight with you.
Also, that music

@Zehealingman: YES! A thousand times this.
So many videos available have you jumping into battles assisting your troops, other troops, etc. I love this. I can finally no longer be some grossly unrealistic group of high school tropes on an adventure to do the impossible.
Now I'll be a group of high school tropes ruling an organization... it'll be like student government, just bloodier.

I liked that too... Though, I think it should be pointed out that they may only assist because of a choice made earlier...
I think, for the first time in the DA series, I might enjoy replaying the prologue more than twice...

I started watching Angry Joe because he always makes me laugh. I agree that I was waiting for him to pop a potion or use his buffs better and rotate through characters, but I think he was pre-occupied with making his fan vid and less with trying to actually beat the encounter.

Is there a video that actually shows the intro vids and dialogues (in good quality)? I prefer being spoilered in an enjoyable fashion over being semi-spoilered.

Apparently BioWare is doing a stream of the prologue tomorrow (Monday), so you'll be able to watch it there. (Otherwise, no idea).

just with weapons of mass distractions and weapons of debates... ahh and dont forget the slide ruler of callus, man so many high school weapons you could come out ruling the world of high schools for 4 years or maybe longer if you let you try to attack the principle computer hah

I like how he showed us Nightmare difficulty over Normal like the other gameplay vids. But I'm happy I stopped watching this XD, don't want to spoil too much lol.
Somehow I think the difficulty slider Dragon Age series (as well as many other games) should be re-named "tedium" slider, so many games seem to get tedium and difficulty mixed up, does not seem there is much in the way of tactics in this game other than the standard MMO tank and spank and it would seem the slider only extends the duration of combat and requires you to quaff more potions.

Depends really.
Early game yeah, it will probably be that. But as you get more skills and weapon/armor choices I'm guessing your ability to use those wisely will greatly affect how efficiently you can end things.

Positioning is important. Archers get damage bonuses from higher ground and defenders deflect 90% of the attacks thrown at them meaning you need set your team up in a way that allows the DPSers to flank. If you ignore positioning combat becomes tedious and attritional. That's your fault not the game's.

Admittedly I speak as someone who has played all the games and read the books and reads the online wikis and re-reads the codex from the games all the time...oh, god I am so lame innnit?...and how well should he know the lore? Like you said, he's passionate about the game (as he is about games in general) but I don't think he needs to be an expert on the game's fiction to lend his opinion.

...anyhow, certain things just jump at me like how he called Justina simply "one of the high priestess" rather than the Divine. It isn't a big deal at all, but it is obvious lore and game history is not what he cares about.
Which is fine, cause he made it look so damn much FUN, which in my book trumps all anyway.
....
Am I coming off like some elitist a-hole? Oh god, kill me now.

So position you DPSers behind the enemy? That is some straight up Napoleon **** right there fella!

I will say that and the outsidexbox preview were some of the more entertaining previews I've seen.
Most people previews were just..."Hey, I got the game so watch me run around and kill stuff for half an hour."
I also enjoyed that even though he disliked DA2 and was hoping for something closer to Origins he didn't spend a good amount of time complaining about it.
