Asari valkyrie.
Turian Sentinel
The signal-to-noise-ratio is pretty damn high so far.

I like the TSent too. He's a solid character but he can't dodge. That is a HUGE deal-breaker for me when it comes to picking the best.

Of course he can dodge. He chooses not to.

Human, Paladin and vorcha may be the easiest to play for first gold or plat games.

Assuming the player is skilled, I would rank them, in order of efficiency:
Vorcha - Krogan - Asari - Paladin - Turian - arethereevenotherkitsinthisclass

The Valkyrie is one of the most powerful characters in the mp Im but lag can kill her, literally.
The Tsent is a solid choice overall while Krosent is kinda like a weapons platform with lift grenades.
Vorcha is good because of flamer and cluster nades while the warlord is friking bosskilling tank.
Haven't used the paladin much bit I've seen people do really great with it so that's another option. All in all it depends more on your own playstyle and what your comfy with.

Asari Valkyrie. But as stated above watch out for lag .. it's a killer sometimes
The Human is very good as well.

Batarian Sentinel. Remember to use the Kishock and shout "arrr, thar she blows!" into the mic.
Seriously tho, Asari Valkyrie if hosting, TSent for every occasion, and Paladin or Vorcha for when absolutely everything must die, preferably in fire explosions.

Depends on your definition of best. Also, the answer is different for Gold and for Plat.
If by best you mean sheer damage output, then there are contenders like the Vorcha, and on Gold the Paladin can do masses of damage with just Snap Freeze and shield bash.
If you mean easiest to play, then it's the Turian Sentinel: Shields? Overload + shoot. Armor? Warp + shoot. Almost any gun is good on him. But no dodge means he's better on Gold than on Plat.
The easiest kit to play that I've found for Plat is the Human Sentinel with the Scorpion. Mostly alternate warp and throw on everything for the booms, stick Scorpion projectiles on everything in between, use speed and combat roll to stay out of trouble.

Nah, the lack of mobility requires good positioning and situational awareness, so you need skill to play him - it's just different type of skill from some other kits.
I'd say the easiest is the Paladin. Good mobility and dodge, shield for tanking bosses and trivializing phantoms, on-demand shield regen + DR, utterly spammable powers useful against all defenses and wall-penetrating cheese. Any kit requires skill to master, but Paladin is super easy to use at the basic level.

I'd go with Human Sentinel for Plat, Vorcha Sentinel for Gold (and Plat if you're very good at dodging/RHA.)

The N7 paladin is the best class in the game, people on here will get pissed if you use it because snap freeze is broken and cheap, I understand and I get it, no really I do, snap freeze steals peoples kills and can score ****** like no other (yes I know about GI, TGI, geth tropper, ect.) and I do like being on the top of the score board just like everyone else secretly does and people get their panties in a bunch, but you know what I've learned. Damn them to hell, all of them. Why? Because its a damn video game, no check that a Co-Op video game at that. Use geth scanner and snap freeze everything through walls like an OG Paladin.
