Quarian biotics are very rare but they do exist, so why wouldn't there be a biotic quarian.

I vote every engineer kit should have a pet. Drone, a turret, a Varren, oh that would be great - a Krogan engineer with a Varen, carnage and overload.
Or if you'd like me to phrase it in ME4M spirit - Krogan engineer with electronics, dampening and a Varren

I think the answer depends on the map & your playstyle:

On small maps (glacier especially), Paladin & Vorcha can make it pretty easy mode;

On grenade maps, Krosent can clear spawns very fast too;

Arasi & Tsent are good for any map though.

Currently I'd say female, as it would even the number at 3 mail/3grill quarians, and also because I cant think of an interesting way to work the signature mailquarian power tacscan into a sentinel.

They wouldn't even need to do biotics. Look at the paladin. Tech armor, sabotage and energy drain(seriously when did this become a salarian power? We invented it.) would make for a unique kit who could be played in multiple ways, from a tech bursting caster, to a TA>sabotage melee brawler to an extremely tanky gun platform (Tech Armour DR+ Energy drain DR+ quarianjugg shields), provided she got the quarksman's weapon passives
