Dragon Age Keep: synchronization problems

I'm posting on this forum because there is no technical support subforum for Dragon Age Inquisition. I hope I'm in the right place.

Here's my situation: I'm worried I won't be able to upload my world state to the keep once I'll have to do it. I'll try to briefly describe my situation with bullet points:

  • Before the switch to the new Bioware forum I had both DAO and DA2 synchronized to my account in the old forum. The system showed the badges for those two games under my avatar and I was able to access the informations about my characters in my profile settings (they weren't always updated, but they were there).
  • After the switch I don't see the badges anymore. The system acknowledges that I registered DAO and DA2 (I can see it in my account settings), but I can't access the information about my characters anymore.
  • I never bought a Bioware/EA game after Dragon Age 2. This means that the only reason why I have an Origin account is beacuse my Bioware Forum account was imported into the Origin system. If I log into Origin I don't see DAO and DA2 in the "games I bought" section.

My DAO and DA2 savefiles are stored in an old computer at my parent's home. That computer doesn't have a monitor or a keyboard anymore so accessing those files would be pretty tricky. By the way: since there is no savefile importing feature I think that doesn't make any difference.

Could you please tell me what I need to do to assure that everything synchronizes with the keep in the right way once the time comes?

Thank you.

Ok all that gets synchronized to the Keep is your character ( sex , race , portrait ) , and your achievements . They are still in beta and dlcs and such aren't syncing (yet). There is no direct import to the Keep or to DAI you must make all the decisions in the Keep itself

I know that I'll be able to edit manually each and every choice that I did in the game, but I would like to have information about my previous characters synched to the keep as well.

I also understand that if I import the information from origin into the keep the system automatically builds a world state depending on the character I choose to use (I've just finished seeing the Dragon Age Keep demo: ). I would really like to do that, since the idea of setting manually over 300 choices is pretty daunting.

That video is very old and new information was released several months after. They won't be able to import choices or the actual save state and have no intention of doing so. You'll have to manually enter all your choices.

What do you mean you can't access your information on the old BSN, are you getting the "read only" message confused? Can you access your diagnostics page? Have you tried syncing your information on to the Keep yet?

The Keep does not build a world state from your import.

The Keep does not import saves (expect DA Inquisition saves for future use).

Synchronising is irrelevant to DA Inquisition - it does not affect DAI at all.

The Dragon Age Keep does not ever load saves into the Keep from DAO or DA2.

The Dragon Age Keep is a World State Creator - not - a Save Game Uploader.

BioWare's Justin and Renata said:

  • [Justin] The syncing for your heroes from DAO are not going to affect DAI. They will affect the little icon [2D avatar] on the Keep. They’ll affect some of the graphics, the names, but none of that will trickle into DAI so you’re still perfectly set for the DAI launch [whether you use custom heroes or default heroes].
  • [Renata] The syncing stuff is more just for your own personal use so you can see what you've accomplished in the games and be reminded of what your Wardens and your Hawkes looked like and what they did but itdoesn’t actually impact anything in the Keep or in Dragon Age Inquisition.
  • [Justin] But the flags do. [the Tile decision choices] Don’t misunderstand that.

So make the choices you like in the Keep.

The synchronisation is nice for seeing past achievements but that's about it.
