Pretty much all the MP Asari are fun to play. I particularly like the Justicar. (Actually, the Asari Adept [aka Liara-lite] is my least favorite.)
I was actually surprised to found out AA is actually names Asari Commando at N7HQ. So if you want to play as commando, I guess AA is the one to go to 
And sure, compared to all the fancy moves of Valkyrie, Huntress and Justicar, Commando and Vanguard may seem a little bland nowadays. Despite that, I still love playing them both and they are plenty fun, not to mention strong.
Actually I just finished AA challenge yesterday for a second time. I tried giving her Claymore and let me tell you, she suddenly became a lot more fun to play with. Sure, her overall damage potential dropped a little(okay... a lot), but I just need to get reload cancelling down and she'll be a killing machine again.
Also, I thought this girl couldn't get any hotter. Damn, was I proven wrong. It's a wonder what a big ass gun will do to an already over-the-top sexy woman
