So, as I discovered, much to my shock, it would seem that Sister Petrice fled from Kirkwall after it drowned in flames. After wandering for many years, she soon found herself in a strange new world where time was convoluted and broken.

There, she began to invade and attack the locals, desperate to recover the title that was stripped from her, under the moniker of the "Nameless Usurper"

So, yes, I did notice that someone in Dark Souls 2 unmasked the Nameless Usurper and... She bears a shocking resemblance to Petrice.
