So far I seem to have been able to romance Tali and Ashley. I got the Tali saying I love you at the start of the geth/reaper base mission and after back on Normandy she gave me the picture after our chat in the engine room. I then went on to meet Ashley in the commons and started her romance. I assume ash is now locked in and this will override Tali romance. Has anyone else seen this as didn't think it was possible?

Never thought of it, 'cause my Shepard doesn't look at women like that. It might be a flaw, but it probably won't work the other way.

I don't think that works. Once you lock in with someone, it's exclusive.

With Liara and Kaiden and Ash if you lock in with someone else it's automatic, kaiden won't even be there for lunch with you if you lock in with someone else. No idea how it works with Tali though I assume it must be the same?

I locked in with Tali before finishing the Rannoch arc and then had a nice non-awkward lunch with Kaidan later on, just two bros having a beer.

 

Not sure about Ash; in my only Ash-romance to date, Tali was dead.

I tried not to end up in a romance with Tali and did not invite her up to the cabin. But once the rannoch mission started it seemed I was. I then assumed Ashley's meeting on the commons would be just a best buds chat. Interesting to see if I can hook up with ash now with Tali's picture by the bed.

I really hated having that conversation with kaiden.

 

Edit:  To answer the Ash question she's just friendly if you lock in with liara first. So Tali is probably the ssame.

I've had lunch with Kaidan before/after a lock-in with another romance. He'll confess his love for you or leave the conversation platonic depending on your status.

During the love scene with Ashley you can still see the picture of Tali by the bed. Bet that was awkward.

It is, I'll get a picture up of Ashley and shep in bed with Tali picture there.

Now that would be an interesting romance option. Bioware does like pushing the boundaries with relationships in games.
