There seems to be some confusion out there.  The screencap in the tutorial posted here on BSN shows that you need 50 total of a combination of the three; but when I got my first three trophies and triggered that screen for myself, it told me I needed 15 total trophies/viands/secrets for the Divine's visit to be a success. Later, on BSN, someone stated that you needed 15 *of each* for the good ending.  

 

So does anyone have a definitive answer about the minimum required special items for the "good" ending versus the crappy one?  I don't need any spoilers about how many endings there are - the screen said that the more you get, the better your 'ending' will be, so I'm aiming to collect as many as I can anyway.  50 just seems like a lot for the "minimum" - it seems like that would be more of a best case scenario.  Is there a definitive answer here?

You need 15 of each to be successful, but probably a combined 50 to get the good ending is how I saw it.

Last thing I heard was the 50 was a typo and you actually just need a grand total of 15

Haha, its really not going well for you is it :L I don't even know what to recommend to be honest. Think i'm going to ruin my game by stealing from the sealed chantry.

Yep, it's  been pretty tough :/. And I keep getting cards that I have to discard because they are with quests that require too much for me to do them. FFFFFF I'm considering restarting, but will that even reset my points? Agh

It will reset them, but you'll want to do the seven days before inquisition comes out if you're playing it I assume. Its worth having a go at quests that are too dangerous, although if your dignity and stuff is low, it might not be wise :S Its very useful having all the bodyguards, lovers etc.

I got the hunter as my bodyguard and got that other baron as my counselor, but haven't been able to get anything else. I guess it's not worth to restart  now if I want to finish it before DAI comes out. It really feels like I'm not making much progress though. Most of my stats are too low to succeed on the tougher quests.

Okay.... 15 of each + 50 total for the "best" makes a lot more sense.  The "continue preparing" screen said "collect 15" but I am going to assume that's vague.  Can't hurt to shoot for the most, I suppose.

I think there are a couple of different ways... you can refuse to side with the lawless criminals or the forest spirits in the "whispering woods" card, which gives you authority.  Or yeah you can go to "Gathering Resources" and "sit in judgement" at court, which is a dignity test.  I think there are a couple of other random cards which can give you authority in the result, as well as some of the follower's favors (the Silent Hunter gives you authority if you "send him to terrorize your foes").  Hope this helps

Yeah kinda regret having low daring now that i'm the chantry. I think it'l just be worth sticking through with it. If you fail at it. Come back to when theres pro methods at completing this game after inquisition releases. At least through failing you'll know a bit of the back story to inquisition.

Loghain is the best. There isn't enough love for him on these forums. It would be interesting to see if he plays a part in this lost court, I doubt it, but Carver made a reappearance so its possible considering he was asked to go to Orlais. Need more Loghain :'(

At the risk of hijacking my own thread, Loghain showing up in DAI is THE choice I most want to see reflected outside of the major "who rules Ferelden/what side did Hawke choose" world-altering choices.  I will be terribly upset if a) he isn't in Inquisition or b ) he's in there and they've done something weird to him or written him out of character.  Love him, love him, love him.

Only halfway.  Joran Cousland did marry Anora, but he sent Alistair off to go be a drunk in Kirkwall

You don't need to pass up on cards you don't think you have a chance at. You still learn something even if you failed.

It might make sense, but it completely wrong. You need 15 total for a good ending. 50 was a typo that has been fixed. If you want the best ending, the number you should be shooting for is greater than 30 total.

Actually, if you do the math you should realize that in order to get 15 of each you would have to spend  about 300 clues and 210 actions just on the hunting quests, (7 turns/quest and 100% success ratio), that’s about 4 days worth of ”free” actions (72/day).

At this point we still wouldn’t have any secrets or companions. 

 

And most importantly, the entire game would be rather pointless since the reason we play it is for the story/lore, and not to grind the same 2 quests for 4 days.

You could say buy ”Dawn”, but in this case, who in their right mind would actually pay 2,5 USD/action.

 

Somehow I don’t think that the DA team would troll us that way.

I found that hunting seemed to be the hardest way to get viands/trophies/secrets. The easiest seems to be from some of the market day cards, or from getting dignity/freedom/prosperity up to 100 then sacrificing 50 of one of those plus 25 clues to get a viand/trophy/secret.

Its not a bad experience, but i'm hoping to get something out of this at least.... Is there a confirmation whether we get a bonus item or something? (since they have already stressed out that The Last Court will not affect DA:I story at all)

Sometimes it tells you that "this has been recorded in the Keep". Since it doesn't affect DAI but affects the Keep I assume it's meant to have an impact on future DLC or games.

What IS the good ending? I REALLY doubt I'm gonna get 50+ trophies/viands/secrets, I'll be LUCKY if I get 15, so someone should just spoil it for me now.
