What if I don't play for a day - will I have two Market Day cards when I log in?

You'll only have one.  You get a new market day card 24 hours after your last one...

so....has anyone been diplomatic with the lord of the forest?

I have. So far I've treated him like a legitimate lord of a neighbouring province. I've petitioned the release of my subjects and allowed him to take a poacher in exchange. I also asked him if I could construct a road through the forest.

Then I attended his feast and invited him to the Feast of the Divine... so that's gonna happen.

Oh yeah, that was the only time I went against him. Rescued that guy myself! I figured it was only fair, I don't think he should get to steal my subjects just because they set foot in his lands.

I didn't go to his feast, and now I'm stuck with Unwelcome and the story doesn't seem to move past that point. It seems like the intended course of action is to be diplomatic with him. That didn't stop me from building a road against his will, though.

Yeah i'm in the same boat, his unwelcomeness is rather tedious.

He brought the poacher to you because the poacher was one of your subjects and he committed a crime in the eyes of the horned knight. The way you handle the situation is supposed to tell him what kind of person you are, ie will you respect the laws of the forest? It's all about trading favors.

what is the difference between summon a subject (using 1 authority) and sending for them?

why should i spend 1 authority when i can go to that page for 'free' and then spend authority to summon a specific person?

anyone use that option is "gather resources"?

Gather Resources is where I get my Bags of Royals from.

In my first run, I got 10 viands, 10 trophies and about 15 secrets and got a pretty satisfying ending. Until I realised in my second run that 15 of each will suffice to impress the Divine. I decided to go beyond and aim for 20 of each and see how that goes, just as long as I pick choices that won't result in losing favour with the Divine.

Resources was where I normally got my bags of Royals, but only when I've got Prosperity at a 100. And then I go build it back up by playing cards normally. Same with Dignity and Freedom. I find it easier to build Woods-Wise and Derring-Do by hunting frequently.

If you choose the option in Gather Resources, you're basically going to the "send for" page.  You just spent your authority before selecting the subject you want(so you aren't spending it again, if that's you're concern).  The issue is if you decide to change your mind in the middle of the process... If you're on the "send for" page, then you haven't lost anything... If you did it through Gather Resources, you spent an authority(and, I think, a turn) that you won't get back...

I've clicked it and never spent anything.
It is just stupid that it leads you to the "send for" page. It'd ahve been FAR better, if the Gather resources summoning tab had random results between the "send for" characters.

What? 15 of each now?  I swear every time I hear it's something different.  I heard 30 total of any would get you the best ending...

It is 30 combined for the best ending, but some story choices can make you lose favors and/or trophies/secrets/viands.

What's the difference between good and best?

So I currently have 14 secrets, 15 trophies and 5 viands.

To get the absolute best ending I will need 30 secrets, 30 trophies and 30 viands?

I only have 3 market days left!

What is the best way to get more secrets and viands? Hunting is the best way to get trophies, right?

You need 30 combined for the best ending. You have 34 so you should be fine.

You get lots of secrets during Market Day Cards, and the best way to get viands and trophies is to go hunting (hind/boar respectively). When one of your bars reaches 100 you can also trade 50 Dignity/Freedom/Prosperity for trophies/secrets/viands by going to the 'Prepare for the Divine' card (also need 25 clues).

I totally get the reason for bringing me the poacher.  As you said, he was my subject who had committed what he felt was a crime in his forest.  He was my responsibility to govern, and because he committed an act which jeopardized the alliance between Serault and the forest; I gave him to the forest king to make amends.

Problem is, the Bard committed no crime (at least, none that was ever explained) and yet he was taken simply because he was in the forest.  Sure, it turns out the knight is rather insane, and the whole quest deals with trading favors.  It just seems like a really strange interpretation of our alliance, and a weird way to have us try and spend a favor.  Just a simple "your Bard was fooling around with that servant girl on ground which is sacred to me.  So I have taken him as penance."  I feel would've worked a lot better.  I don't know what the equivalent would be for someone who had romanced him; however a situation like that would've made his decision sound a lot more legitimate, and made the situation a lot more gray.  Most of us still would've tried to rescue him, because some of us had him as a lover, and some of us just plain liked the character.  I just feel the whole situation would've been more of a "damn, how am I going to smooth this over?" moment that way; and less of a "that last quest was literally just there so I would spend my last favor" sort of moment.

Because as it stands, the king of the forest is really just kidnapping (what very well may be) the player's lover.  Kingdoms have gone to war over less.  It might just be me, but without a better excuse than "he was in my forest, and I wanted to take him" I think we're a little beyond trading favors and moved in to "you will hand him over or our alliance is done" territory.  ;)

I did lots of stuff for the divine and ended up with 19 favor, now I have no options to do anything... That was a somewhat pointless 7 days of effort. No closure just a counter for my actions coming back, even though there are no actions I can take. *sigh*

I might be slightly off topic but.. where does the Last Court ending show up in the Keep?? I can't seem to find it even tho Last Court told me that "Your accomplishments have been saved to the Dragon Age Keep"..

Maybe I'm just tired, but haven't found them yet.. is it working as intended?
