It seems I should have finished, but after I passed all 3 favor caps, nothing happened. I could continue using my resources until they were gone, but now I just have a blank screen.
As an aside, I had a 99% chance to succeed in lying to the Divine about the unsealed chantry, and yet I failed... Yet I only lost trophies, gaining secrets and viands? I also lost the "Chantry Unsealed" quality, which led to me receiving the Chantry Keys in a later event? It seems The Last Court is rife with game-breaking bugs.
I finished with 14 and it said (since 10 is the minimum for the best ending) that I had a "Most satisfactory outcome" and said I can create a new character and play against if I wanted.I did lots of stuff for the divine and ended up with 19 favor, now I have no options to do anything... That was a somewhat pointless 7 days of effort. No closure just a counter for my actions coming back, even though there are no actions I can take. *sigh*
Apologies if this has been mentioned but does anyone know what the "best" ending is? Mine was labelled
It was pretty dissapointing.
I got "A Most satisfactory ending" because the Divine's favor wouldn't go any higher, even though I still had some secrets and a petition left. Was that not the best one?
Currently not visible, just stored in the back end.
Cheers!
Thanks mate
Got the Most satisfactory ending for my Huntress.
19 Favors from the Divine. with 60 spent Trophies/Viands/secrets. 62 overalls and 2 Viands left still.
Failed the Chantry cunning check with 49 Cunning, the Divine cuts one of your favors ( so 3 items ).
Checked the Horned knight's gift to the Divine. Pretty sure she wouldn't have liked it.
Shattered the glass mask.
Petitioned Dowager, Poor kid, and Guildmistress.
Pretty lame ending, considering that the only end-game incentives of playing the story are the Wyvern hunt ( it gives you a choice for the feast ), Chantry and Horned Knight ( at least these interact with the Divine ).
On the other hand, the Market day card of a passing-by Seeker that shares a terrible secret about the Divine is of no use at all.
I'd personally have liked the idea of bartering that secret to pass a Chantry or Horned knight check, to avoid losing favors.
Also, salt in the wound, even if you didn't even MEET the Bereskarn market day card, there's an option to dress yourself with Bereskarn spines during the feast. That's lame.
I have this too. I got the
Spoilerbut it just brought me back to the cards/deck screen.
Yeah, that seems to be where I'm at. Same choice as you, too.
I'm at 10 favour, and it's only giving me the option to use up secrets or trophies to increase the favour further (despite the 'favour track' being seemingly filled up). I'm out of Viands, and I'd rather not spend any more trophies or secrets, since that combined total is currently sitting on 30. (Does that matter anymore? Or is it just total favour that matters?) In any case, it feels like I should have finished, or been given a new favour total to aim at, but... nothing. I'm just back at the cards/deck screen.
I figure I'll point out that, in the Sealed Chantry conclusion with the Divine,
I failed to notice what ending I got...
I received 20 favors from the Divine and since I did not breach the Chantry or allow the gift from the Horned Knight, there were no penalties. So I 'won', at the very least.
I achieved a most satisfactory ending with 13 favors from the Divine
I'm happy enough with my ending. 'Most Satisfactory' will do very nicely. If there are levels higher to this, like I've heard rumored, I don't care all that much.
I feel, the decisions I made, like in other BioWare games, are what I wanted. I always do a clean, no help, play through my first time in a new game. No guides, no hints, no clues, I have to figure it all out myself and live with the consequences.
Subsequent play throughs I might use guides, but I mostly rely upon the previous play though as my guide.
Oh, but my ending I only had 10 favor from the Divine and that was good enough to bank me the Most Satisfactory conclusion.
I got a smile from the guild mistress, a crown for my head, a consecrated chantry and the keys to it, a seal for the dashing outlaw, a very lucrative contact for glass, and my stats were just where I wanted them.
