I found a way back machine web archive of the site made by Bioware's Torlak (Tim Smith), but it is giving a malicious page warning (AVG) on opera browswer.

Is this a false positive, or is there a alternative version of the info given here?

NWN Binary Model Files Basics

The binary format of the model files contains 3 main sections, the header, the model data and the vertex or raw data.

The header is a only twelve bytes long.  It provides us with the offset and size of the raw data, and a 32 bit value of 0.  The value of 0 is important since it can be used to tell the difference between an ASCII model file and a binary one.  The chances of an ASCII model file starting with 4 bytes of 0 is somewhere between zero and none.

@Carcerian I'm pretty sure that was a false positive. I also get it with opera 12. I didn't get it with Firefox 33.1 with the adblok+ plug-in/add-on/whatever. I have a web archive (.mht) version of that page now. pm me if you want a copy.

That page is one of the best references, ever.  I only wish Tim could have been able to dig just a little deeper or that Bioware would have been as thorough documenting the binary model format as it was with the other file formats.  Still, awesome information.  Thanks, Carcerian!
