4 years of development and people are done in a week.
I guess they need to do Multiplayer only next time and dark soul difficulty so none can finish the game.
hmmm 100+ hours with dark souls difficulty (obviusly, disable friendly fire shouldnt be an option) and people messing around in our inquisition world.. it sounds.. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY NOW!

Sounds good. My first playthrough of DAO was 95 hours doing every quest I could find, and I still missed a few. These days, if I replay DAO it will still take me about 50 hours knowing exactly what I need to do. It appears DAI might be bigger. Nice!

If you spent 95 hours on DA:O then as a completionist I think its safe to say you have atleast 150 hours ahead of you ![]()

Well....most likely, I'll not do "every nook and cranny" in a world this big in my first playthrough. I'm too curious about the story. I hope I'll see almost all quests, but completing collections will most likely have to wait.

Nothing worst than spending 70+ bucks on a game just to have it beat in 5 hours. I'm looking forward to this and getting my money's worth.

My first playthrough of DAO was 120 hours, but I did everything and explored every corner sometimes twice - just in case, since I don't use guides.
Takes me about 50 hours now, on Nightmare and without dialog skipping.
Don't remember how long was my first DA 2 run... probably a little shorter, but not by much.
I'll likely get 200 hours in the first run of DAI. Can't wait!

It's not possible to only do story missions because you need to gain power and influence through side missions and exploration to unlock the story missions.
Sounds like a good amount of time for a single playthrough though.

85 is a lot for a game with plot and a story!
Mass effect 3 usually takes me ~35 hours with all DLC and I consider that long.
This is gonna be crazy good
after this game I don't really have any other games on my calendar until April so this will keep me amused for a while!!

I definetly dont believe that it takes 85 hours...there must be some sort of time wasting in that number. I finished DAO/A in about 35 hours with most stuff completed and DA2 in about 13-14 which were alot less then the normal estimates.
That said id still be happy in 30 hours of MAIN STORY.

Hey, my first DA2 playthrough was 96 hours! (I still have no idea how on earth that happened, but it did involve playing badly on Nightmare)

Hmm, I know that 85 hours is longer than we ever got but I don't know why I had this idea in my head that it could take around 150 hours to complete this game. I don't know if I read it somewhere or if I just dreamed it. So seeing that this person finished the game in 85 hours made me a bit sad. But hopefully they rushed a bit and didn't complete all side quests. I'm planning to take my sweet time and explore every inch and do every quest so I'm hoping it will take me at least a bit more than 100 hours to complete this game. I just don't want it to end. ![]()

No, no, I believe it just that it was funny how many people still have no idea this game is coming out!

Or alternatively how many people realised DA2 ever did.

Adding on interspersing MP and multiple SP play-throughs will easily put this game at 200+ hours easily before any DLC add-ons. Then The Witcher 3 in late February.. what a great time for RPG's!! It has been a while since having something new that is this meaty to sink our teeth into. Really looking forward to the preview this Thursday and then the full game the following week!

Mine was around 75 (NM difficulty). Most of that was wasted fighting mooks plus the hour long boss fights, so for me it was a case of longer =/= better to the 56 hours of Origins.

I think the Ancient Rock Wraith took me like 5 hours or so cumulatively. The actual fight I beat it in was like 1:15 or so. I don't think I'll ever get that fight theme tune out of my head.
On the bright side, I find it impossible to fight Meredith on anything lower than Nightmare because she just dies too fast now and it removes all the tension and drama of the fight for me.

I also assume MP will provide alot of playing hours in addition to at least 3 runs.
1. RP slow paced Hard FF game
2. Completionist FF Nightmare game
3. Nightmare FF game with limitation to use only 2 companions instead of 3 max.
4. Loads of MP in between.
Well, thats looks like really promizing one year plan assuming how much free time 33 yo person like me got ![]()
