I'm wondering what the Phantom Vortex is. It's defined in Coalesced as a stat for the Phantom, but does anyone know what it is?

Phantom
Stats:
CancelFirePct : 0.15 - 0.15
MaxFireWaitTime : 8.0 - 12.0
EvadeDamagePctLow : 0.045 - 0.025
EvadeDamagePctHigh : 0.06 - 0.05
EvadeFrequency : 4.0 - 3.0
EvadeResetDuration : 2.0 - 2.5
EvadeDamageScalePct : 0.9 - 0.9
ShieldDamageScalePct : 0.9 - 0.9
PartialLeanPct : 1.0 - 1.0
PowerEvadeChance : 0.8 - 0.9
FlankReactionTime : 0.3 - 0.3
CloakHealthPct : 0.6 - 0.6
VortexDamageWindow : 2.0 - 2.0 <-------------
VortexFrequency : 15.0 - 15.0 <--------------
ShieldFrequency : 10.0 - 10.0
AggressiveFrequency : 10.0 - 10.0
MeleeAttackInterval : 1.0 - 0.0
SyncMeleeAttackInterval : 5.0 - 5.0
SyncKillChance : 0.3 - 0.3
MaxHealth : 500.0 - 750.0
MaxBarriers : 700.0 - 1050.0
MaxEnemyShieldRecharge : 0.3 - 0.3
AIShieldRegenDelay : 8.5 - 8.5
AIShieldRegenPct : 0.15 - 0.15
PowerThreshold_Standard : 140.0 - 140.0
PowerThreshold_Stagger : 290.0 - 290.0
PowerThreshold_Knockback : 440.0 - 440.0
HitReactionChanceMultiplier : 0.5 - 0.5
It doesn't appear to be the bubble because it has another frequency.

It's when you run away from a Phantom attempting to sync-kill you, only to be dragged back forcibly into position for a sword to the chest.

Seriously though, no idea, and I'd be interested to find out.  I have visions of hundreds of Phantoms pouring out of a swirling vortex on the map to brutally destroy your game...but it's probably not that epic.

The Vortex was the original ranged attack of Phantoms during alpha. It's a power that somewhat resembles a shuriken. Since AI don't use aimed (and arcing) powers not efficiently it was deactivated and she got the palm blaster as replacement - to the dismay of ME3MPlayers.

If the above statement is untrue then I have no idea:

all their behaviour I know is staggered, palm blasting, cover taking, cartwheeling, bubbling, cloaking, melee and sync kill.

They can also rocket boot but that's a generic Cerberus ability.

I'm thinking it's the Phantom's attack where she does a spiral attack with her sword(second sword attack animation with the N7 Shadow & Slayer). It's a double hit attack that she can do without needing to perform the first swipe with her sword unlike the N7 Shadow and Slayer. Why do I think it's this attack? Because a "vortex" loops, and this attack just happens to have the Phantom do a spin. I would count it as a separate attack from her actual melee attack where she only hits you once to stagger you, because this one does a lot more damage(plus the double hit)and she doesn't do it too as often as her one hit attack.

Has to be this surely.

Could also be the stage of game when all Phantoms on the map seem to be drawn to your position.

"You have become Phantom Vortex!"

Me thinks the BioWare devs were playing to much Dark Souls... oh you think you'll extract today? Well here comes a mighty skilled of a megabeast player phantom invader with grenade capacity and full clip packs to put an end to that dream.

Oh, and they get the real Venon & Geth Spitfire weapons too. Cause Phantoms never invade without being super prepared to one shot you.

But I don't know, sound like it would of been fun.

Then what is sync melee? I assumed that was the second melee animation. It has a different cool down than melee.

Sync kill?

Vortex values are not used in the phantom scripts nor CoreAI scripts, at least not in the ones that are decompiled by ScriptDB. There are some empty scripts so I assume it means that decompiling failed or something.

The only mention of vortex was in Kai Lengs files where he had a SuperVortex action which is pretty much bubbling and restoring shields. Don't know if those are related

Hmmm... weird. I did look through the files and never say any actual use of it.

Perhaps Sync Melee is the cooldown for a 'synced melee', e.g. where it pulls you over to it (sync)? E.g. the phantom doens't always stab but you do get dragged over sometimes.

It's the cooldown for sync kills\husk grabs. Not sure what you mean about phantoms, to my understanding it's just the time that must pass after sync kill before unit can sync kill again. Husks don't grab you again instantly after a grab after all.
