I'm still crazy hype for Inquisition though. Only one week left, folks.
Turns out Bioware were serious with the nudity thing.
Just saying.
I'm so hyped for this game now. Will play this until the game disc burns in the drive.
Now go work on ME4!!! I need more Bioware excellence for x-mas 2015. ![]()
eeeee, so happy with all the reviews being so high!

I feel like I rally have to comment this (from God is a Geek review :
How can you make a judgement like that in a review of a franchise that has 1) changed its engine completely, and 2) is publishing simultaneously on both old and new generation consoles? I mean... really?
Other than that, I'm actually enjoying the negative/more critical reviews more to get a more varied take on the game and keep my personal hype down. From the reviews, it looks like at least a couple reviewers got hyped and burned for various reasons (the Gamreactor reviewer said outright that his expectations were a reason why his review is a bit negative).
The mentions about a lackluster story are kind of bothering me though...
For me, no offense, I thought the Keep was OK but I would have enjoyed the comic style selection system that they had in Mass Effect just as well.

For the plot the quality of writing has never been great. It's the character writing that matters, and Kevin VanOrd was VERY high on the characters.
Yeah, the main plot in DA has always had some pacing and storytelling issues. But it was good enough and never been a very big deal when the characters are the focus. I'm also not worried when they say that combat requires "relatively little" strategy, because strategy rarely being necessary was even the case for Origins on all difficulties below Hard or Nightmare.
At the very least, it appears the game is good. That's all I need to be happy with it.
Getting solid reviews but it's lower than what Bioware typically gets in their games. Interesting. It's new design I wonder if it has a lot of flaws since it's new territory for them. In any case, not going to steer me either way.
To be honest, since when did the plot really bear any significance?
The only game series from BioWare that had a lot of emphasis on their plot vs character studies was the first Mass Effect game I would argue. Dragon Age II was a bit closer to that as well, but mostly due to being a smaller scoped plot.
Is that bug described by MMORPG with the shiny armor textures being applied to the skin PC only and is a fix being worked on?
Because I wanted an answer from Allan since no one else in this thread is qualified to answer it. Is that complicated?
I did not ask if that was what Allan was referring to, I asked him if a fix was being worked on for another alleged bug.
I was confused because you literally asked Allan if he was referring to the bug described by MMORPG when he said that they were working on a fix for a bug.
If that is not what you meant to ask, then that is grand.
Indeed. Nice to see Bioware "growing up" like that. Not trying to offend anyone with this, but yeah... Respect to Bioware.

I'm proud of Bioware for ditching the awkward undies.
I give reviewers some credence but generally I don't buy or not buy a game based solely on reviews. I prefer to chat with other players and watch videos if possible, Recently I bought Risen 3 - despite terrible reviews. I had played Risen 2 and had fun with it . Risen 3 is very - basic shall we say - but I had a blast playing it - despite reviews of 3s and 4s out of 10.

Reviewers are overcompensating after ME3 and DA2 backlash. Many of these reviews have lower score than DA2 and DAO, but they says the game is the best DA games so far.

Found. Nice.
Eh, nudity means little in the grand scheme of things. Nice touch I guess, although it depends on how its used more than the fact that it was used.

Nobody is getting high 9s or 10s anymore. After getting criticized for only using the 7-10 scale for many years, reviewers recently discovered that there are numbers below 7.
Everything above 8/10 is a very good game.
